In 2014 he finished the regular season at ND with five straight losses-- not playing a gruelling schedule.

Kelly might not be the guy but Saban was 8-5 in his 3rd year at LSU.
I’m pretty sure we were 6-1 when Mauck got injured for the season.

ETA: We were 5-1 when Mauck broke his foot. We won the next game to start 6-1 and then it was all downhill.

It very well might be. And if it is then he will look back on that and wish that they prepared a little differently. Because Milroe beat them the exact same way he did the year before.

The only difference from last year is that we had JD to match Milroe score by score (non-existent Tiger defense) until JD was roughed up late in that game.

Well, Kelly's awesome recruiting has not shown up in the wins against good teams so much.

- The 1st game of the season trashboxes.
- The inability to recruit in the portal to fill glaring holes.
- The failed coaching hires.
- The grumpy bullshite we're being served when asking him about obvious issues at press conferences.

He is walking the plank with LSU whether he realizes it or not.

I thought they gave him way too much per year and for too long. Kelly was making 2.6 million I think at ND and you give him 10? Max 6 million per year for 5 years.

Wtf makes you think he brought ol to the table?

The great ol play was because of harry heistead who HATED kelly. Kelly left him alone because he wouldnt take his crap.

The years with kelly chosen ol hires were horrible.

Kelly had ed warriner and jeff quinn as ol coaches and they SUCKED.

His resume was built doing EXACTLY what hes doing at lsu. Beating teams he should beat.

You were warned.

I'd be very careful about getting rid of Kelly as Head Coach right now. Replacing a coach right now might result in recruits "bailing out" and going elsewhere, as well as deflating any motivation the team has to finish well. Then we may be faced with three more seasons of average football. There is far more confusion caused when leadership exits than in exhorting the team to continue striving for improvement. I am also frustrated like you all with the play, but let's get behind the Tigers and build a solid scaffold.

yet he got yall in the top 2 once and top 4 two other times. Where has Freeman got yall? Maybe in the top 12 this year where you'll get run out of the stadium because your QB has troubling completing forward passes?
Your recruiting is marginally better than when Kelly was there
