The SEC statement wants us to believe this was a serious matter that is still being resolved when it turned out to be a big nothing burger. Now let’s see if Sankey gets sued by the players. That may be the only unresolved issue remaining.

SEC is lacking institutional control. Sankey and Plowman need to be rolled and ole miss needs an arse whooping of epic proportions

Tony Clayton knows when best to strike and the rabbit still has the gun. Hopefully the players suit against the SEC gets filed tomorrow.

$50M minimum to settle and the SEC likely will cave. Discovery would rip the veil off the conference inner workings and likely destroy any credibility for a decade.

$3M less in payout per school over this matter hits the athletic departments hard at a time with NIL spiraling. That’s enough to get Sankey and Hussey fired.

Something makes me think that they got word from a federal source that they would not get their restraining order, so they moved it for appearances.

Plowman has probably not had a very fun few days.

Lane has gotten away with it, she got walked down by the Republican speaker of the house and our president smacked her around. She probably got a call from the governor of Tennessee about the issues she is causing

I feel like causing your school to get slapped with losing out on 3 million dollars is going to get some presidents and ADs fired along with Sankey.

This should be fun if that happens, the ones that didn’t want to go along with it will point the finger at the leaders plowman and then should move to remove Tennessee from the conference and fine them for the money they lost the conference due to their president.

Oh Hoss, I do beg to differ. This was an attempted assassination. It failed. That is far from a "nothing burger." There should, and will, be consequenses.

Uh, it doesn’t work that way. There was no possibility of a TRO because there was no emergency, nothing to restrain. The lawsuit is silly under the current circumstances and the SEC knows it.

This is silly.
The SEC overreached, but the President and the Speaker of the House had absolutely nothing to do with this.
This is not a partisan fight.
Stupid, yes.
Partisan, no. But both parties are stupid enough to try…

HE SHOULD BE FIRED!!!!!

Threatening to kick ANY SEC team out of this league.....is just plain arrogant and stupid!

LSU is a top producer of cash for the league!

The speaker of the house and a sitting senator commented publicly on this. They for sure had private words with people. They weren’t going to let the sec cause economic harm to Louisiana. There is a lot of money tied up in this.
