I’ve watched every one of those film breakdowns. I’m in no way saying the O line didn’t get handled. But there were quite a few times where he had a clean pocket, made one read, tucked and ran. Maybe it’s because he felt rushed because of the pressure on the other plays. Either way, on the rewatch I was actually surprised how many times he had a decent pocket.

If by elite you mean panicking and running instead of trusting reads, yes. And if by elite you mean consistently throwing the ball low enough to get it batted at the LOS, yes.
If this is the definition of elite, then he is truly top of the class.

The guy is terrible. Turnover machine. Constantly overthrows wide open WRs and is blind looking downfield. Must be 5’7” as passes get consistently slapped down at the live.

In 612 career attempts he had 8 batted balls prior to this season. This year in 93 attempts he’s had 4. Do you think he all of the sudden decided to start throwing “low passes”?

So what you’re saying is you don’t know enough football to understand that the QB isn’t responsible for everything. A lot of the females in my family view football the same way so I get it.

Sam really needs to work with as much VR as LSU can provide to him. I look for a big jump in performance next year.
