Did you know who these QBs were before their performances? Why are we led to believe the only good QB is the one the staff spent prime money on?
The little time Clark has played, he certainly throws a better pass, can run as well, and when he scrambles, he's always looking down field, not hopping and trying to juke everyone within 5 yards of him.

Something is wrong with him mentally, like an anxiety disorder. He needs to get hit to reset. Put him in as RB.

I think most people forget TC was not the starter for Ole Miss last year. An assistant coach lucked up in seeing his film. Lane had him on the bench and when the starter got hurt put him in and he never looked back. Austin Simmons is now at Missouri. There are guys out there on the bench who are better than the starter. They just need game play. Rohan was a terrible practice player so Saban wouldn't start him. He shared the position with Josh Booty. It happens. Coaches aren't infallible.

Yes he’s Elite, as in Tom Osborne or Barry Switzer would have won 3 or 4 NC’s with Sam RUNNING QB in their offenses. He’s not an elite QB in today’s game…Kid came around 50 years too late!

He is ranked #33 in CFB. I'm not even sure that qualifies him to be an SEC QB. Maybe Big 12?

I love Landen Clark, have a friend who told me to watch him this summer and I think he’s very good so I wouldn’t say Leavitt is the only good QB we have.

Leavitt is behind due to the injury and surgery. JD had tussle issues his first year.. Give it some time. I expect to see some improvement against TAM and I trust Kiffen and Weiss to get him comfortable with the offense.

Everyone on here was also thinking Clemson was some kind of power house. Kiffin practiced all summer to embarrass Dabo and our fanbase ate it up like candy. Hate to say it but Kiffin peaked at Ole Miss.. he can’t stay out of his own way to be successful. And by successful I mean hoisting a NC trophy.

He might actually be a little better than average if they rolled him out away from our left guard and helped our right tackle with at least a bump inside on the rollout. I think Sam might see the field better to run and pass, and not allow the DLine and blitzers take a bee line to the same pocket.
He would be able to see the field better and he throws better on the move than he does in the pocket, if we call it a pocket.
