It’s very difficult for some who have a coddled and entitled upbringing to change their stripes this late in their social development.

Harris needed a strong figure (dad, coach, faith based mentor) years ago. We rolled the dice and it is not working out. Get him out of the locker room as not to disrupt ASAP.

I have to do my part to get this to ten pages.

This team doesn’t need a cancer but does need CB’s. That being said may be he needs professional help and some meds. In my early twenty’s until 38 I was a crazy bad arse and at times a cancer too. I was lucky to retire from the military. You see I was bi-polar and didn’t know it. I survived because I was honest, humble and the best at what I did. But I was an awful human not fit to be a team member at times. Thanks to meds and counseling I straightened out. I used alcohol to self medicate now I drink in moderation. I hope he figures it out for his own welfare. Hope it ain’t to late for him.

I don’t doubt this rumor considering all the information we have on him and camp reports. It’s certainly unfortunate but fixable. However, I trust our coaches to prepare to play without him. We are CB thin but we have a lot of safeties so it is possible a couple of them can make the switch to CB. For Harris, he has to know this is his last chance. If he gets booted off this team he will have to transfer to a McNeese caliber school to have any chance of redeeming his football future. Maybe he realizes he’s about to throw away a financially lucrative future and get his attitude right.

No offense, but the way it has been going he was not going to see the field anyway. He has been running with the 3's from every report I have listened to. I KNOW before any response he has huge potential, but guess what, potential does not mean jack shite without effort. Give me the guys that want to play, especially with everything else we have going for us on Defense.

Ashton Stamps - Cornerback

The freshman from Metairie (La.) continues climbing up the depth chart for LSU after the second week of camp. He’s sitting behind Zy Alexander and Duce Chestnut with the chance to make an impact for this program sooner rather than later.

The cornerback room is a fresh-faced group and Stamps has taken advantage of the equal opportunities that have been distributed.

With Alexander, Chestnut, Stamps, Denver Harris, and Laterrance Welch, among others, taking reps at corner, we’ve seen the freshman look the part through eight days of practice.

With Ohio State transfer JK Johnson going down with a lower leg fracture earlier during camp, it’s opened up chances for Stamps to step in and he hasn’t shied away from the competition. As preseason practice continues, the freshman has seen his stock rise at a rapid rate.

Cornerbacks

Ashton Stamps’ stock is rising at a rapid rate. He took more first team reps on Monday and has been as impressive as it gets in the cornerback room.

Zy Alexander and Duce Chestnut remain the starting corners with Stamps getting major run of his own.

Laterrance Welch is taking reps with the 2’s while Denver Harris appears to be No. 5 on the depth chart.

On the subject of Denver Harris, he was not seen at practice on Monday.

I did notice that Harris was not mentioned at all in the press conference with House the other day.

He was at practice number 8 video listed at bottom of page under LSU latest news. The 2nd wr screen rep, no. 10. Im guessing it was from the weekend so he's only missed today.

Harris posted lsus #5 ranking on his instagram story this afternoon. Given the lack of news/confirmation, hopefully a lot of posters in here rushing to judgment prematurely.
