North Carolina is far from a third rate state. Some people just have their priorities in check. They rather spend on education than sports. With several of these school with a significant amount of endowment funds, unc $5.7 billion, duke $4.96 billion, nc state $2.54 billion, wake forest $1.9 billion. And lsu(main campus) endowment is less than a billion dollars with the total lsu system at $1.2 billion.

Historically speaking - this return is up there with the time Napoleon Bonaparte broke out of prison, and returned home to his army

Because I didn’t think it would happen? Yes sir. lol. Didn’t go full rantards just figured both sides had moved on. Tribalism.

Always been a fan and excited for the move.

I can see why more NIL might be a selling point for him.

Theoretically NC State should have the ability to compete monetarily.

SEC Payout to each school: $71 million

You should’ve gone to one of those schools because you don’t know how to read

If you asked tigersbb

"Matt Mcmahon lost two potential Naismath college players of the year the last two seasons. That's why he only won 17 of his 72 SEC games."

It could be a long term play. You get in, win, then you start to ask for facility changes.

If football is going to win as we expect then that's the funding. Mulkey keeps doing her thing, and Wade takes the MBB team higher, that facility comes.

Thoughts...

By 2030, SEC payout will be north of $100 million.

NC state will most likely be playing in a conference with ODU, JMU and Appalachian st. Who knows how low that conference payout will be. Don't think this wasn't a factor in the decision.
