Theoretically NC State should have the ability to compete monetarily.
SEC Payout to each school: $71 million
ACC Payout to each school: $45 million
NC State ain't gonna come close to what LSU will spend with football. That probably brings the numbers closer. I doubt they spend what we do in baseball, or for that matter, women's basketball or even gymnastics.
But you'd think they'd try to key in on men's basketball. It's honestly their best shot at having a nationally relevant, known, and profitable program.
Maybe staring down the barrel at UNC and Duke, they just accept they're not going to be competing for conference titles.

LSU must have a currency printing press hidden somewhere on campus - boosted CJJ’s salary, paying out the arse for WBB, just got Kiffen, and now Wade.

According to Pack Insider, the overall operating budget for basketball ranked 36th nationally in FY25 at approximately $12.87
With 4 million of that being NIL for the roster for NCST. Its pretty clear LSU is pushing their chips literally all in on the table to spend for the "major" sports.
