Then don't forget that the ACC is likely facing an existential threat in the not-so-distant future because Florida State and Clemson are both gone as soon as they can figure out how to get out of their Grant of Rights or just wait for them to expire. At that point, its going to be a mad scramble by the remaining ACC schools to get invites to the SEC or B1G....and NC State isn't really a desirable addition for either conference. The ACC will end up either dissolved or the remaining ACC schools will have to add a bunch of G5 schools and become the east coast verison of the new PAC-12

Both UNC and Duke are a bit overstated in today’s world. It’s all about specialization and NCST laps them in engineering programs. Falls behind in other programs.

My whole point was their lack of commitment from a robust alumni played a factor in Wade’s return.
