Okay all you that want Coach Orgeron to fail. List your top 5 HC candidates that you would support as LSU's next Coach, and explain why you think they would leave their current job for LSU. Example: 1. N. Saban, 2. D. Swinney, 3. U. Meyer 4. J. Fisher 5. K Smart

Because those folks want him gone, and I am wondering who they realistically think LSU could hire, as well be one they would love and support.

I mean I get it, but unless the wheels fall off and we lose 5+ games and all the recruits bail, it ain't happening this year.

Why? The list is esentially the same as it was in November 2016. You can add the flavor of the week, I guess.

Why not just give Coach Orgeron a legitimate chance to build his program with his staff and his recruits, instead of rejoicing over any negative occurrence because you think it validates your view of him. Give it 2 to 3 more seasons and lets see where the program is headed instead of this constant carping about his Ole Miss days or his loss to Troy.

A lot of bright news is coming out of LSU football this week that portends well for the future. Lets enjoy it instead of crapping on everyone's enthusiasm.

If he fails then we can worry about who is available. Hin, about 80% of those tyou think are available or who might come to LSU won't do it. Fans like you make it even more unlikely that any coach of stature would come here unless ther eis a confluence of factors that might cause it.

This is simply stupid. I don't think anyone who is a fan of LSU wants Orgeron to fail. Many of us feel that he is simply not capable of success.

I know I would love to be wrong, and for him to build the greatest dynasty in CFB history. I'd gladly eat the crow. I think it is more likely that he chugs along and wins 7 or 8 games a year until the wheels fall off and we go 3-9, or we fire him for never turning the corner. Remember we fired Miles for 8 wins.

To answer your question as to a top 5 replacements... Easy. Get a list of all the d1 coaches and use an RNG to select any five. I would have more faith in those 5 than I do in O.

Why are you so defensive?

Don’t need any of those coaches to still hire a better candidate for LSU. You’re being extreme.

LSU probably could have even retained O as DL coach had they played it correctly, should have never even made him interim IMO.

I want coach o to go 15-0 next year and win the natty- I am LSU all the way. I am however, POSITIVE he will flame out over the next couple years. I remember watching Jimmy Johnson on the herd a year or two ago and he was asked about the LSU job. He chuckled and said "hell, there ain't but 2-3 games a year you should even have the CHANCE to lose." That tells me the absolute FLOOR for LSU should be 10 wins every year.

I agree. This was a total rebuild and everyone knew it. Give the man 5 years to get his program in place

There's a bunch IF he doesn't work out BUT I'm sure the names will change by then and we may also have a better idea of who's who.

Not in any order
Fleck
Phillip Montgomery
Frank Wilson
Troy Calhoun
Mike Bobo
Neal Brown

I would keep my eye on all these and there are others out there, including Aranda but I would have to see him get some HC experience first.

I agree with you LSUTIGERS2018.

It’s easy to bitch, complain, and be negative.

Watch how long it takes the negas to come up with a list!
