It would be awesome to finish 20-10 in SEC play, but I think 19-11 or 18-12 is more realistic. I can see this team getting through the non con schedule with just a couple losses, so I can see us finishing with around 12-14 losses. Of course I hope we go undefeated in the non con and 25-5 in SEC play.

hey’ll lose 9-13 SEC games, 1-2 non conference, 1-2 SEC tournament and 1-3 through regionals, SR, CWS.

Call it 14 losses with a real natty shot again.
Yeah, I was thinking 13 to 15.
Which is really good for an SEC team.

I think Johnson understands the postseason pitching dynamics, as he's been able to win 2x CWS so far. Season won't be about winning every single game, it will be about winning enough to host, and developing what he needs to make a run again. We're going to lose a couple games, including a series or two, where people lose their minds, but he'll do so to prepare the 2nd tier guys for their upcoming roles. I don't think he cares about sweeping series nearly as much as guys getting time and being ready for the playoffs

We are very, very good. Skip good. But we play in the SEC, so between 10 and 14.

Football fans in here predicting single digit losses are going to go nuts once we lose 1 game and change their predictions to bounced in a regional

A 10 loss season would be incredible. 20-10 in the SEC would be a top 4 seed lock for us and the SEC is only going to continue to get stronger and stronger.

we need to start dealing with the idea that its a very real possibility that Jay Johnson never loses another baseball game at LSU

12 in conference (pitching does them in at least 2 series)
Another 3 non conference
1 in Super regional
2 at Omaha

18 total

It’ll be an excellent season but I don’t think they have enough starting pitching to make the finals.
Would it shock me if they do? Absolutely not. They could absolutely win it all again but the odds are stacked against them considering the history of this sport. It is so hard going back to back especially in today’s world of college baseball.

So you're saying there's a possibility they go 17-13 in the SEC?

9 conference losses
1 OOC loss
2-1 SECT
48-11

An NC gives us 58 wins. The most in school history.

In the NC 2023 season we lost 17 games.
2024 we lost 23.
And in the NC 2025 season, we lost 15.

So less than 23, but more than 12.

It’s probably the floor but yes it’s possible. We look great but I bet you didn’t know our current ERA is worst in the SEC. We got swept by Auburn last year, trust me we’ll lose 1-3 SEC series this year.
