Possible rule change to help defenses.

On a turnover you should be allowed to throw one forward pass. This would make the game more enjoyable for everyone and give the defense a better chance to score.
Example: Run up the middle and the ball gets knocked out. Linebacker picks it up and as long as he doesn't try to advance the ball past where he picked it up he can sling it over to the db who broke for the endzone as soon as he saw the loose ball.
You could even have a situation where you are down a touchdown with a minute left and put your qb in at safety and try to force a fumble for a quick score.
I don't see any reason why this wouldn't be universally accepted.

2 hand touch might help this defense.

This seems like a topic that should be buried on the more sports board

It’s called rugby and we don’t play that at LSU. How about just being good on defense?
If your defense had brains, they’d know they can pass the ball, laterally, to a faster more open defender to advance the ball.

If this team could play with 1970s rules, they couldn't stop a third down.
The defense used to have most of the advantages.

So even worse tackling technique because now every defensive player will want to strip the ball even more so they have a chance at a circus play. Man, what a dumb arse suggestion.

Not so sure about that.

LSU does have a rugby team and they’re damn good. No forward passes allowed and they can actually tackle.

Damn. If you took every idiotic Nicholas Tiger, TrueTiger, and Pirate King thread, then combined them all into one, this thread would still be dumber.
If your goal was to create the dumbest thread ever started on the rant, you may have won.
