WTB- BAMA 4/17 2 tix

Posted by RiceGravy11 on 4/8/25 at 9:12 am
looking for 2 for thursday night vs BAMA .. no outfield tickets
It is in a great location, not a far walk from Grand Central or Times Square. Rooms are a bit small, as are most NYC hotels. Rooftop bar was nice to have but nothing crazy. A good pick if you are going to be all over the city over the course of your stay.
Haut was awesome, had a great lunch there too. Visited Delaire Graff but that is Stellenbosch, but it was also a great spot. Hard to go wrong out there honestly. Went to dinner at La Petite Colombe in Franschhoek and it was fantastic. The grounds at La Petite were very nice as well as I believe they have some wineries on site, but we did not visit them.

Cape Town has really good bar spots along the beaches in Camps Bay. Rooftop of the Silo Hotel was cool, but you'll need to make a reservation for that. Belly of the Beast was a solid restaurant, its a surprise 6 course menu and everything we had was great.
Well, for one only 8K can go into your IRA for the year (if over 50).Depending on what your emergency fund is at, with the uncertainty around your future, I would put some aside in a money market account for the time being and then pay the high interest debt off, and then see what remains. If you have sufficient cash on hand and the debt is all high interest, I would pay off the debt.

Just went for the 4th. Great island, very expensive but you get what you pay for. Took the ferry on the way in (flight was booked) but took the flight on the way out. Whatever you do, book the flight.

Stayed at the Carl Gustaf, it was fantastic. Service was incredible. Beef Bar, the restaurant in the hotel, was awesome. Some of the best food we had all week. We also did Bonito, Tamarin, and Bagatelle. Bonito was great, Tamarin was a cool spot but not amazing food. Bagatelle was blah, could have done without.

Spent 2 days at Gyp Sea beach club and 1 day at Shellona beach club (they partner with Carl Gustaf for free chairs all day). Both great spots, beach was better at Gyp Sea. And you are closer to other beach clubs like Nikki beach and Nao beach.

We did not rent a car, just felt it was easier taking taxi rides although more expensive. Carl Gustaf is close to Gustavia which is where a good bit of dinner spots are. Walkable if you can handle steep incline back up the hill.

Would recommend going during low season, talking to some waiters and people they basically said during high season they will arbitrarily raise table minimums anywhere from $300-$1500 a day just for a table/beach chairs. Thought that was important to know for future plans. Lodging is also about double the cost during that time as well.
Any of the 100 sections
Or any of the 400’s
Preferably North end zone/East sideline
All 4 need to be together
Thanks
Recently was almost a victim of this, however the enormous fella decided to sit window and I was on the aisle. Flight attendant claimed it was "full to the brim", we had 1 open seat on the entire plane and yep you guessed it, the middle seat in my row lol.. after they closed the door he looked at me to fist bump me and said "we did it".. I laughed and said "no buddy, you did it!" and he chuckled and proceeded to pass out and snore the entire 1,5 hr flight

It was incomplete watch the video
Not a travel group but I went through jarat tours when I was down there and they were great. First class service and vehicles. Did a private driver from Cape Town down Chapman’s peak drive, cape of good hope, and boulders beach. Used them next day for a winelands day guide and transfer. And used them for any airport transfers. Just go to their website and email them what you are looking for. Uber black in Cape Town is also insanely fast and cheap. $5 -$10 max rides anywhere and won’t wait more than 1 minute for a car.
I just came back from a 2 week trip to Cape Town and safari. Don’t let anyone on here scare you. It was an incredible time, and never felt dangerous at all. Your kids will love the safari 1000%

He does a fantastic job, but yes you will feel it on your wallet. I brought a 9pt to get shoulder mounted last year along with the meat to be processed. I got back 80 lbs ground, 20 lbs fresh sausage, some of his smoked sticks and the steaks. That and the mount together was about $1500 total..
I’ve stayed in meridian the 3 times I’ve been to a game in Tuscaloosa. The traffic outflow from campus is light years better than LSU, so it’s really not that bad of a drive after the game

Gulf shores/orange beach
Play golf at Kiva dunes, go the flora bama each night
Can get a nice house on the water across the street from the waffle house by the walmart
Rent a boat one day and go to Robinson island for the day
No flights needed
This may be top 5 dumbest things I have ever read on this site, and that is saying a lot
