Dude chill, next year the 12 team playoff starts. If we win out this year, beating Florida and A&M, I bet we end up ranked 12 by the end of the season, so that means next year, we are competing for a national championship. Brian Kelly will be a great playoff coach, you can now lose 2-3 times and still compete for a championship, so chill.

Believe me, he helped make LSU much more than they’re paying him.

It's gonna end up being Kelly.

If you think you're frustrated with this wasted opportunity these past 2 seasons, wait til 2024 and Daniels is in the NFL.

Kelly won't make it past year 4. The financial hit will be mindboggling.

Marshall and Stingley played in 2020.

Marshall say out after we lost a few games.

When people talk about A&M and Texas fan being delusional, I always come here to find this kind of stuff. Two of our four national championship winning coaches “burned it down.” Burned what down?

Are you ACTUALLY denying anything I wrote? Burning it down was what they did. We are in a world of hurt financially from Title IX. We had back to back shitty seasons under Orgeron and was left with 39 players and had to play a WR in a bowl game.

Think about the millions we have to pay for that clean-up of Title IX because Miles was not fired?

He brought us a national championship and his $17 mil buyout is peanuts these days. Ask Texas A&M.

Such bullshite. You have no idea what you’re talking about. The financial windfall for LSU from winning a national championship is still being realized. Some of you just want trash O because you think if makes you look smart or somehow makes you look like the “true” Tiger fan. But in truth you just like being miserable. O put the best single season, best single greatest football team on the field on college football history. So why don’t you just say thanks coach 0. Wish you the best.

A lot of y’all aren’t going to like hearing this, but Coach O helped LSU’s reputation way more than he hurt it.

This is 100% fact.

Kelly’s buyout will be in 2025. Patience.

Difference will be that O will have his NC and Kelly will not.

There's also this:

#1 Draft picks among all LSU Sports:

* 1960 Football (Billy Cannon) - Dietzel takes team to the Sugar Bowl, finishes #3
* 1989 Baseball (Ben McDonald) - Skip takes team to World Series
* 1992 Basketball (Shaq) - Dale takes team to ... the 2nd Round.
* 2006 WBB (Seimone Augustus) - Pokey takes team to Final 4
* 2007 Football (Jamarcus Russell) - Les takes team to Sugar Bowl & #3 ranking
* 2019 Football (Joe Burrow) - Ed wins a Natty.
* 2023 Baseball (Paul Skenes) - Jay wins a Natty.

* 2006 Basketball (Ben Simmons) -

I'd have to check the stats, but I think Johnny Jones is the only NCAA coach to not even make the postseason with the #1 pick.

Nope. In 2017, the year after the 76ers drafted Simmons, they used the first pick on Markelle Fultz, who played for a Washington team that finished 11th in the Pac-12 and went nowhere. There are probably other examples that disprove your statement, but I'm not looking them up.

I had to chuckle.
Hallman is the Poster Boy for LSU, prior to Saban.

What would be the selling points of LSU football without Saban, Miles, and Orgeron?

Wait until Kelly actually wins something with his players.
Getting embarrassed in the SEC Championship game and beating a Coachless, half roster, Purdue team in a Bowl game does not lend itself to belittling anyone who has coached LSU to a National Championship. The greatest team in the history of NCAA Football.
Don't beat your chest and brag about 2019 if you are going to attack Orgeron. He and his staff brought most of those All American players to Baton Rouge.
He was willing to experiment. If one OC didn't fit he was gone and he tried something different. He may have been lucky but at least he was willing to try something different.

LSU would write another $16 million check for a repeat of 2019 in a heartbeat. (if it took that long)
