LSU Team Clean Sweep is on it.

They said DS is innocent.

He's a big bad LSU football player that just wanted some posse.

He most definitely DIDN'T DO NUFFIN, you know.

While I agree, it doesn't seem like he was holding her down forcing himself inside of her. Unless I'm reading the limited information wrong, it seems like they were fricking around, consensually, and then things changed after him being inside her for ~20 secs...
quote:

According to Title IX documents and police reports obtained by ESPN, the two students agreed that their initial sexual contact on Oct. 18, 2025, in Shanklin's residence hall room was consensual. Francis said Shanklin proceeded to have penetrative sex with her without her consent for about 20 seconds even after she told him to stop.

Shanklin said he did intentionally penetrate the woman and when he asked her if she wanted him to stop, she said nothing, according to the documents. He said in the report that he continued for about 20 seconds before she told him to stop, at which point he did.

Is she some crazy chick that was trying to get a payday and when she didn't get the money she wanted, then she accused him of rape and went to police? The article says she accepted $1000 from him. Maybe she wanted more.

Or, is she a victim of someone that committed a serious crime and should be locked up?

I'm not trying to sound like a POS, but based on the info available right now, I'd have to go with the former, not the latter.

You can say a girl may be trying to setup an LSU football player without sounding like a racist douche.

What makes it look even worse on her behalf, is that her actions in the following hours & days of the incident seem sketchy. She says she asked him to stop prior to penetration yet Shanklin says she didn't initially respond & waited 20 seconds afterwards to say stop which he did at that point.

Also, most sexual assault victims don't want to see or talk to their assailant yet here she was answering texts & phone calls which included asking for money in those texts.

I’d dismiss the case and make her pay the $1k back.

I am absolutely against rapists…..however, I want a law on the books to have any rape allegation that brings charges, and then found to be false or egregious, to be prosecuted to the same extent

$1000 for 20 seconds?

That's... what? $50 per second.

That's steep

The second she asked for and accepted money is when she lost me.

The problem is that in cases like this it’s just one person’s word against another’s.

They’d had consensual sex previously, they were engaging in consensual intimacy, he claims to have asked her if she wanted him to stop, they both claim it was brief / 20s, they both claim she haggled for money & a payment was made.

Many people will never inspect the details & this dude will never live down the accusation in the eyes of many even if acquitted.

Rape is despicable & I get why women are usually given the benefit of the doubt, but this smells funny. Situational skepticism should not be taboo when someone’s life is on the line.

He's on campus according to the article.

He was dressed for A&M. You can see him in the locker room next to Lane in the recap video posted the other day.
