what's the risk?
tell me that you don't think a program can be penalized after the fact for following the rules/laws in place

You’re not one of those people that thinks the CFP committee will ban LSU from the postseason, are you?

These folks are dug in.
Let this be Bama and see the attitudes change.
If you go pro, that's it.

They can be placed on the team, practice with the team, help the team gel with their experience .. until they actually play in a game .. no harm no foul. We are 5 days from playing our first game .. no player added now will play. There is too much to learn and no time to learn it. Bring them on, get them up to speed as best you can and let the politics / legal issues sort themselves out this week / perhaps next.

News flash: Now they are all pro players.

You think it's worth this distraction to maybe add a few depth players on game week? What if they are approved on Thursday and ruled ineligible by a higher court a month later? What is the point either way? It seems stupid.

Have a download and we don’t have any extras on the team. A pro makes a 53 man roster and none of the guys we have have made a 53 man roster, so quit being a pussy.

In a normal situation, correct.
These particular players did not choose to forego their last season of eligibility. They were told they are done and then, welp, whaddaya know. The NCAA decided to grant all players 5 years after they were told you’re out of eligibility and signed on with a training camp team. The NCAA screwed these guys.
It’s people like you who can’t handle nuance and just want to wave your pitchforks around and act like this is the worst thing since the holocaust.

Yes, a Louisiana judge said they are eligible. That means nothing when it comes to federal, United States law. It only means the state of Louisiana can do this, not the other 49 states. If Lane Kiffin allows them to play, no matter how amazing this team might be, they will never get to show how great they are.

A Louisiana state judge is not a federal judge! Only a federal judge, not a Louisiana judge, can say what really happens when it comes to our country.

Not a boy! A very smart female that knows you never want a court to decide anything! Also a Louisiana court is not a federal court. We would need a federal court, not Louisiana judge, to make the same ruling. Without a federal ruling, this really only applies to Louisiana, which means any game that is not played against a Louisiana team in a Louisiana city does not apply to this ruling.
