Many people on here probably have no recollection of 98&99. They've only been following LSU since the title in 03. This is extremely similar to Dinardo. Big Ten Yankee who could recruit but not coach and stubborn as chit.

Hester doesnt seem in touch with reality...great player but weird he refuses to at least admit Les lost his touch. That said, I don't think he really ever had it...luckiest coach in the history of CFB - both to walk into what Saban left him and then to get his 2 loss NC...and then to get TM7 & co...and then to bluff that Arky was interested when there was no way in hell they would ever hire him...
12 years and $30-50M when he never should have been hired in the first place...respect Les...much respect. Glad you're gone.

| The deleted tweet from Guice is the only one that concerns me. |
It should. Our fan base is always bitching, talking poorly about players and coaches, and now sending death threats. As a fan base, we need to learn how to support our teams and act like you would want to be treated as a player

No he isn't.
The fans had every right to feel the way they did. LSU football has declined over the last few years, and there were not only no signs of changing, it was getting progressively worse.
I don't care how much the players love Les Miles. You can't have the resources or the talent LSU has and think 8 win seasons are going to sit well with anyone.

Les was a players coach, which isn't necessarily the best way to win championships.
I doubt the veteran players were shocked, they went through this last year too.

IMO, guys like this should have the option to have their scholarship released if they want to. If Miles was the only reason and he isn't cool with O, he should be free to go if he wants.
Why? If you commit to a coach, this is the chance you take. This is WHY A COMMITTMENT SHOULD NOT JUST BE TO A COACH!!
His jersey says LSU on it, not Les Miles.

Completely agree. Someone needs to remind that kid that I don't pay $4000 a year because I like the coach or the player. I pay it because I like watching a winner.

Lol all those people saying they won't go to a game until he's fired need to man up and be there on Saturdays.

Guice is awesome, young and emotional. Fans in there right mind have always supported the players. This is all on Les Miles.

Duke Riley ? - A true players coach, Thank you for recruiting me and giving me a chance! One Love ???
Posted on 9/25/16 at 6:16 pm to KingwoodLsuFan
Agreed. He was a players coach. Had ability to recruit some of the best talent out there. We have to remind ourselves these are still kids. They need better coaching. Does anyone remember the earthquake game? The players of that era were coached differently. Players such as Tommy Hodson, Eddie Fuller, Dalton Hilliard, etc. were simply coached differently. These are some outstanding players at LSU now, and once they have the opportunity to maximize their abilities they will get the big picture.

He just said it was sad. He said nothing about the merits of firing him.

Maybe Coach O needs to play backups since the emotional trauma may be too much for Dural, Guice, and Dupre.

This is every fanbase everywhere. Did you not see the melt that Bama fans had last year after losing two in a row to OM?
