Thread is not stupid at all. half the 1st page of his commitment thread are posters complaining
4 of the 20 posts on the first page are bad, and two are from the same guy, one of the other is from truss, whom is a certified retard. You may be related, seeing how you math.

Kid visited one weekend, left campus with no offer and all insiders reported he wouldn't be in the class and OM predictions were made. A mere 5-6 days later, Evans evidently caught our staff completely off guard by flipping to UGA and Woodland is invited in again that weekend, gets offered and commits.
Woodland was offered a month before Evans even commited
5/16/23: Woodland offered by LSU
6/15/23: Ondre Evans commits to lsu
10/18/23: Ondre Evans decommits
10/22/23: Woodland commits to LSU

I don't think you know what this phrase means, exactly.

I remember Ole Miss coaches were highly POed when he selected LSU.

He was listed as 5'11" as a recruit, I don't think that is ideal height but he may have grown a bit. But if he has speed and cover skills the only drawback at 5'11" is covering the taller receivers on 50/50 balls.
5'11 while not the "ideal" height is not short. If he was 5'9 then sure but 5'11 is not that concerning.

Bro, horrible post all around.
You literally don't address any sort of "elephant in the room" throughout your ramble.
Then you claim he's the ideal build for corner. Sooo, that's not true. He's 5'10 - which is fine but I don't think I'd call that ideal.
Then you try and act like people here were shitting on him. I don't think anyone was upset about landing PJ. At worst, they just didn't expect him to do much, especially as a freshman.
Just a very weird, passive aggressive post for no reason.

I went back and looked through the Dec posts about Woodland's offer/signing and most were positive. However, as the OP stated, there were many negative ones. Just to document them..Tiger79, JRod34, Vanilla Thunder, trussthetruze (you mentioned him yourself), moockblackjack, L S Usetheforce, emanresu, Folsom, davidLSU, OneFortheMoney, ChalkyWhite84, OpenYourEyes, and TGK4LSU.
Anyone can do the same with my past posts and find some misses. I posted this just to say even though the members were maybe 65-35 in support of Woodland, there were many who screwed the pooch on him too. For the record, on my Facebook page after the 2nd signing FB day, I rated Woodland a 4*. I also remember some analyst (mot me BTW) saying he would be the steal of the class.
I hate to say this but Lester Earl nailed this guy months ago. Well, even a blind monkey finds a banana.

Almost everyone thought he was a gem and was underrated in high school… 7A MS POY.

now we are mad about guys being disrespected before they see the field for one play?

You always have your occasional Jeffersons and Mathieus that are underrated by the recruiting services.
Like I tell my syracluse buddy who always points out their OCCASIONAL Zaire Franklins or Andre Ciscos: when you build your entire class on hopes and prayers, you become irrelevant for 25 years just like they have.
With rare exception, the teams that load up on blue chips win the titles.
I really get a kick out of the people that present these anomalies and try to make the case that stars don't matter. Nobody is perfect. Not the coaches, fans, or the recruiting experts.

Where in my post did I remotely hint they were idiots? I simply supported the OP's claim that a lot of people said negative things about LSU signing Woodland...which is 100% true.
FYI, the negative things mostly were about how LSU cannot catch Georgia and Alabama signing 3* CBs like Woodland and the other negative thing was talking about his light weight...as if players aren't built up in college.

The point is people worry about what some random on the internet thinks about a kid that the coaches want enough to give a scholarship.

Well clearly they’re idiots and you shouldn’t listen to their opinions on things.

I agree, I was responding to someone who used those words specifically. I have no issues with a 5'11" CB provided he is athletic and speedy.

Disagree, Woodland is a take in any class.
I think we agree, actually, I may not have stated it very well. My point was he was depth at a minimum. I'd have expected him to be at least a rotational piece and it looks like he may be a starter.
High school kids are difficult to gauge, some have peaked, some are close, and some are years away from their full potential.
