Good god why?

I like birdmans pic's especially BAMA because LSU has had to go through Bama to get to the SECCG during their "hayday." That fire is fizzling and the Gumps need a taste of LSU medicine moving forward under CBK & the undeniable rise of the LSU Fighting Tigers!

I think it should be regional. It shouldn't be trying to make it even based on how well teams play currently, because those things change.

OU, TX, Mizz, Ark

LSU, Miss, Ole Miss, A&M

Tenn, Kentucky, South Carolina, Vandy

UGA, Bama, Auburn, Florida

I'm also cool with changing Ark & A&M

WTF? Hell no to A&M. Who actually likes playing them and why?

Just regionally I think it could make sense. I actually would rather keep Ark and let A&M, OU, TX, Mizz all be in a pod. That just seems and feels right to me.

I am also not prideful where I need to have Bama as permanent. I think no matter what Bama has to be in a pod with Auburn.

We gonna get state arky and ole miss

I really with this post now that I really think about it. This also looks and feels right.

I’m showing my age, but Ole Miss is the one permanent opponent I want. Other than Tulane, they are our true rival.

Bama is not going to play LSU, Auburn, and Tenn every year unless they make if 5 permanent opponents like it used to be before divisions.

If that were the case. I would say A/M replaces Kentucky and Arkansas replaces State and our five games would be Bama, Florida, A/M, Arkansas, Ole Miss.

Ole Miss, A&M, and either Florida or Bama. Probably Bama.

Florida has to be one, imo.
And Ole Miss.

Would love to keep Bama as the 3rd, but we'll get the Fighting Jimbo's.

Ole Miss, Bama, Florida

Wouldn't be upset with a Texas team instead of Florida.

1. Ole Miss
2. A&M
3a Bama, 3b Florida, 3c MSU

I’m showing my age here… Ole Miss and A&M were rivals decades ago and I’d like to keep those. Bama would be a good option for the third. Even though it’s been our biggest game the last 15 years, they weren’t the game circled on our calendar before Saban arrived. Florida was our biggest game for a long time and I hate to lose it. State isn’t as much of a rival but I really like State fans and I’d be happy if we kept them just bc their fans don’t suck like Ole Miss, A&M, and UF

There are not going to be any 4-team pods, or any kind of pod arrangement.

i really don't understand why so many think Florida would be a common opponent. Doesn't make sense.

I think they are locks.

We are absolutely in both of their top 3 biggest rivals. Ole Miss is in our top 3, and A&M is probably borderline if not in there right now. It just makes too much sense geographically, and with the Houston LSU alumni base.

Outside of that, LSU-Bama would be next. It works for both teams. I just dont know that I believe the SEC would give Bama 3 tough opponents. Thats why im leaning LSU-Florida.

1. Under no circumstances will our three perms include alabama or auburn. Bama will get Tenn and Auburn and Auburn will get Bama and UGA. Their third perms will be someone easy. 2. I am sure that two of our perms will be Texas A&M and OMiss. 3. IMO, our third perm will be Arkansas or Florida.

I wouldn’t be so sure that Tennessee isn’t considered the “easy” opponent for Bama. They were good this year and good historically, but over the previous 20 years they’ve been a bottom half team.

There’s very little chance LSU gets both Arkansas and Ole Miss. That’s two “easy” opponents.

Ross Dellinger a long time ago when the scheduling discussions were first happening brought up that it was an already established concept within the SEC schedule discussions of upper/lower tiers where the uppers have 2 uppers/1 lower and the lowers have 1 upper/2 lowers.

Uppers:
LSU, Bama, UGA, AU, A&M, TX, OU, UF

Lowers:
TN, SC, UK, Vandy, Mizzou, Ark, Ole Miss, MSU

I did not create the tiers. These were what Ross said at the time were the established tiers within the discussions.
