There is no way that figure is accurate. If we have over half a billion ready to buy any player for any sport, don’t see how we could ever lose a recruiting battle ever again.

I saw a stat earlier this year that LSU was 4th or 5th with over 600 million and Oregon close to a billion. I believe the numbers to be true but I, and maybe most others, aren't sure how they work. For example is this money just raised by the collective that maybe only so much, per donor, can be used each year...who knows.

I also saw a stat that Texas fb players had the highest NIL this or last year at 20 mil and LSU was 2nd with over 8 mil

The problem is is that most of the SEC schools, have comparable NIL numbers.
Texas A&M & Texas had the most NIL dollars in article I read. Surprisingly Clemson, Notre Dame and Ohio state and Michigan have that number and higher.

This legitimately sounds like a number that someone told him just to see if his dumbass would report it. He did, and now everyone is laughing at him.

$618 million raised for athletics over a 17 year period for an average of $36.3 million per year is my interpretation of the data.

If that is accurate, which I say it is NOT, it is still not enough, obviously.

I hate the business of college sports today! I think I would rather be kept in the dark, like it used to be!

For NIL? Not a chance. More like 6.1M.
