Because people want to see the championship game and have only so many discretionary dollars and time to spend.
this could very well be the reason for the low numbers anticipated in Atlanta- but if you think that LSU is going to dominate the NC game in Nola because so many are waiting to go to that game, you have another think coming. Whether it be Clemson or OSU that we play, it will likely be 50/50 split at best.

No reason at all for LSU fans to miss this especially with the prices of tickets now. Our first playoff game and that lame arse excuse we are waiting on the championship game. FWIW I spent almost 2k for 4 tickets I am not missing this

This is literally our biggest game of the year. The next one is not promised. Tickets are readily available for face value, and yet we won't have 20K people there.

A few years ago we played South Carolina at home and LSU was practically giving tickets away, and we couldn't fill the lower bowl.

But we have plenty of keyboard warriors here who are quick to call out people for leaving early, etc. etc. But truth be told they have no real excuse not to go see the Tigers, but they would rather stay home and bitch about someone else.

I looked up stubhub and was expecting to see the ones around me going cheaper. Was happy that they're about the same. Where they get you is the mf'ing $100 fee a ticket. For this first game I'm going to be in 311 row 4 which is on our side and best I could convince myself to buy.

For the next game, I'll probably only take the wife since I'm sure tickets will be over 1500/each and the kids have school.

it saddens me we have so few fans willing to go to ATL to see us play in a semifinal game. We should have 450K at least at this game.

why would almost half a million people travel to Atlanta to watch the game?

It's possible he meant only 350K LSU fans would show up.

No excuse, reality was season ticket holders bought massive amounts of tickets to GOUGE people for 4-5x the amount. Take a look at our sections and the OU sections for this game, price is easily double in every location.

I should have bought the seccg tickets on Tuesday before the game . They started going higher on Wednesday and continued to climb thru the week.
Dont wait
And the fees are criminal

Tickets now for $99 which include fees for seats In Section 314. Row 14. Up to 16 seats. Stubhub. I paid $300 for similar tickets to SEC championship.

My issue is that the Peach Bowl shorted schools for season tickets and it’s making everything a pain. I wanted 4, but LSU only filled 2. Now I have to get 2 on the secondary so I’m waiting on them to fall.

You couldn’t be more wrong. LSU got 13,000 and sold all. OU re-released a couple thousand and numerous LSU fans jumped on them for face value. LSU fans are buying far more via Stubhub and other outlets than OU fans. LSU will have a pretty large contingent of fans there. My estimate is 30,000.

If we get 30K Tigers fans in ATL Saturday, that would be very good. My wife and I will be there as we were for the SECCG.

If you look at stub hub, most the seats available are OU’s side. They are the ones not traveling.

And LOL at these people saying that we had 20K at the SECCG. We had nowhere near that many fans. It was the worst fan showing since 2001

I don't think that 20,000 is a crazy number for the SECCG. Stadium seemed 70/30 Georgia/LSU to me.

There’s 9,500 tickets for sale on stubhub. They’re not going up.

I’ll be in Atlanta on Saturday, along with my dad who’s a UT fan, but should be on our side. We got better tickets than the SECCG for cheaper, hard to say no for someone living in Georgia.

LSU will have AT LEAST 20k fans at this game. Much easier access to these tickets than the SECCG, not to mention a bigger game to begin with.

It will be 60-40 LSU, at worst. Probably more like 70-30, as OU didn’t even sell out their initial allotment via OU requests and had to sell to the general public to sell their entire allotment....Some of which went to LSU fans.

This will be a very partisan LSU crowd in Atlanta. We may even have 30k+ there.
