I haven't been on here this week and didn't want to take the time to search so... this subject may have been covered in some other threads... so... cut me some slack if so.... I LOVE LSU as much as anyone on this board. I thought they played a surprisingly better than expected game last week. But... being realistic... the PI call on last drive did help put us in FG position. My question... did LSU catch a major break with that call that helped us big time or no? I know.. someone may say "officiating is part of the game. LSU has lost games on poor officiating." I get it. Again, just asking.

This has been beat to death jesus christ. The Auburn DB grabbed his arm. There's a picture.

Was it a deserved call? Yes

Did you watch the play?! The DB held our guy's arm so he couldn't go up and make the catch. Pretty textbook PI, but again it's not always called.

The DB had a firm grip on the WR's arm and was pulling it down both to prevent a catch and give himself leverage to get above the WR's hands to make a play on the ball.

Yes, it was a very beneficial call. It was also absolutely correct as it penalized textbook PI.

Let me throw a question back at you:

Do you think Jefferson catches that ball if the AU DB doesn’t grab his arm?

In my mind, there is no doubt that he catches it. The ball was dropped into his chest and he had a step on the DB. Even while “cheating” the DB couldn’t stop the ball from getting to the WR. With 2 hand, we have the ball on the 10 yard line.

he PI call on last drive did help put us in FG position

as would a completion had he been able to use both hands to catch the ball.

whats your point?

The barn DB knew he was beat and clearly grabbed Jefferson’s arm preventing him from hauling in that ball which would have given us better field position. Good call by the ref.

If we did not get that call and we had lost, getting robbed on the plains yet again threads would be abound.

if the guy didn't interfere, jefferson would've caught the ball and we would been at the 10 instead of the 25. I'm so sick of hearing this shite. It was a good call. Jefferson was GOING to catch it had he not been interfered with (the dude grabbed his fricking arm). If there was no interference, I genuinely think we would've scored a TD instead of a FG. STOP WITH THIS.

This seems like a common sense question. Do you really need to start a thread for this?

He had is left arm gripped and was pulling it down. It was the right call.

Have you not watched video of the play yourself? If a DB is holding a receiver's right arm and the receiver is only able to use his left arm to try and make a catch, is that pass interference? Just asking.

If you are going to LSU “ concern troll “ at least choose something that hasn’t been conclusively proven and put to bed.

It was the right call, but I doubt LSU scores a TD. Jefferson wasn't going to stay on his feet regardless.

With Cole Tracy on the sidelines and the ball at the 12-yard line (29 yard FG), taking shots at the endzone would've been utterly reckless. They would've gotten the ball to the middle of the field, run the clock down, and let Tracy kick a virtual extra point.

I don't mean we scored on the play. I mean we score on the drive from the 10 instead of the 25 with 1:30 on the clock or something like that.

That pass was on the money and hit Jefferson's chest. If he had both arms, that's a completion. That was a perfect call.

Greedy definitely got away with a PI no-call earlier though.
