On that play he was holding down the right arm and it was obvious. In the one before that the DB held the receiver and didn't allow him to stay on route way past the area where contact is even allowed. So both calls were correct.

That was obvious PI as the Auburn db had ahold of our guy's arm. So, no LSU did NOT benefit from a questionable call there.

Agreed, the fans in the stadium we shown bad views of the PI calls. Al.com even posted terrible images of the plays that did not look like PI. I have not heard a PEEP out of any of my Auburn compadres. Never the less I love listening to the AU radio announcers.

Did you watch the play?! The DB held our guy's arm so he couldn't go up and make the catch. Pretty textbook PI, but again it's not always called.
I was shocked it was called AT Auburn

Greedy got away with a PI that stopped a drive.
Auburn got away with a PI that stopped LSU from getting a TD early (if I'm remembering correctly, I think they got 3).
The PI at the end was certainly a PI though.

Pass Interference Call at end of LSU-AU
Does anybody know the record number of downvotes on a post? I have contributed mine to GA Tiger!

Put is this way if the DB wouldnt have been holding his arm that ball would have been caught, it was perfectly placed and we would have been in field goal range. It is what it is and like you stated officiating is part of football

There seemed to be much more complaining about the PI against Giles a few plays earlier, claiming the ball was uncatchable. It looked that way because he was clearly interfered/held about the time Burrow released the ball and later not as obviously grabbed just as the ball was arriving making it look as if the ball was overthrown and not catchable.

Teams tend to make mistakes when you put pressure on them.

Watch it here, skip ahead to 5:23. It's got a big white circle around the dB pulling his arm.

The refs made the right call against a team from AL.
yes, I would say LSU caught a break.

PI is part of the game and was a legitimate call. Would have most likely been a catch had Jefferson been able to get his right hand/arm(that the db had a death grip on) up to catch the ball.

It was PI. However, AU caught the break when that fumble (catch, step, step, fumble, LSU recovery) was called an incomplete pass.

Agreed. I still say Auburn did get away with PI in the end zone. The Auburn defender never turned around to play the ball and ended up running into our guy before the ball got there. I think either K. Joseph or K. Fulton got flagged for doing essentially the same thing in the Miami game.
