There are no other people like that. That's why he's the best ever. It's only natural to reach the top of the mountain and exhale and look around and actually enjoy life. When Saban retires, I'll be surprised if you don't hear him say he regrets not enjoying it a little more.

I'd love Fickell as well but that dude isn't leaving the Midwest. Hell he should be #1 on Michigan's board but they'll think he's not a sexy hire.

This is close to what I see.

if they fire him for “cause” and he sues, it kicks CEO’s contract can down the road a bit to be decided/paid settlement at a later date

this would allow them to clear the staff, eat some costs and hire a guy with a clean slate
then the offseason tour, donations drive, covid recovery push has some hope to sell the donors and fans during ticket renewals

otherwise we are looking at donor apathy, falling ticket sales, eating staff costs and Pelini’s deal, hiring new coaches and revenue shortfalls in the AD and TAF with real question marks politically and economically in the state, region and nationally

real wrath of God shite

lane kiffen should be on that list

I don’t see him taking his boy’s job.
Urban Meyer is done like you said.

Matt Campbell strikes me as the type of guy who wants to stay in the Midwest I could be wrong though would love to have him.

Hugh Freeze is radioactive to us right now due to Title IX investigations although he is who I want the most.

Joe Brady doesn’t recruit and is in the middle of his first coordinator job. No thank you.

I think if a change is made this year it’s going to be Napier or Fickell as our top targets.

Timing is everything

This is not good timing for LSU

The funds won’t be easy to find when there is other more wordly concerns, and sports fandom is taking a huge hit

But I doubt there are many AD’s that wouldn’t pay their championship coach a ton and/or give him free reign on his next DC.

Right

This always happens. I’m indifferent on Woodward but that is not some type of knock on him

had woodward tried to intervene on DC then CEO pushes back through the media from an all time high

tough to stand up to CEO if he wanted to do it

Cristobal is literally another O. A good recruiter but will only survive on his coordinator hires. He's the Oline coach like O is the dline coacb

I think Lane Kiffin is the move. You damage Ole Miss, and he has nowhere to go from here. Hire Pruitt as the DC when he’s fired from Tennessee. Compete for a title within 3 years.

Or, stay with O and see the program set back a decade.

He’s an assassin. He’d leave and then troll them on the way out.
