cant imagine there is much cushion in the LSU Athletic Dept budget for this and even less cushion for TAF
TAF has MAJOR debt from all of the expansions
I could see woodward firing CEO for “cause” and then saying “sue us Ed” just stop the financial bleeding and get donations up with fresh blood at the top of the cash cow

It was absolutely orchestrated. It was in cahoots with Derek Ponamsky and Jordy Culotta on the radio show too.
Ed had a weekly hit the year he was out of coaching and Ponamsky and Culotta banged the drum hard against Les and for Ed.

No clue right now. It will depend on the Title IX investigation. O will not likely be fired this year for performance because of contract. However, the title IX finding may allow him to be fired for cause. This is the only way O gets caned this year.

O definitely needed to be managed in a more hands on manner. But I doubt there are many AD’s that wouldn’t pay their championship coach a ton and/or give him free reign on his next DC.
That’s the kind of rewards and leeway an elite HC is gonna want in order to agree to take over for O. So Woodward being that free with money and freedom could pay dividends in the next search.
A Luke Fickell or Matt Campbell level guy with tons of options is going to have an “overinflated ego,” and won’t want a “parent” for an AD.

So we’re looking at February when the independent investigation is over with at the absolute earliest. If he is fired that means we’ll be scraping the bottom of the barrel on the next hire.

If Ed is legitimately implicated in any title ix issues, they’ll know before the official report is done.

It’s going to be done by Feb but as soon as the lawyers say they have something on him you can fire and negotiate buyout
