Off the bench:
I like 2 former players being local but the show needs more local sports talk and less open discussions about nothing…most times it is about an inside joke that a radio listener wouldn’t know

Live at lunch:
Jimmy bullies Charlie while talking about betting 80% of the show …sometimes it sounds like Charles doesn’t have his teeth in

Probably best to move on

I agree 100%

I’ve stopped listening to Hester and Flynn.

I wish they covered more than just LSU and the Aints.

And they blabber so much.

Hester was actually more enjoyable when he was with TBob, maybe that’s bc TBob is such a tool made Hester refreshing

We’re in a dead period for sports. Give it two weeks and it will be far more football talk.

Honestly, this is a really accurate summary of Ott and Hanny's show. It's a tough listen...

Wait, you don’t like hearing the breakdown of the 3rd and 4th races at Saratoga and then having them repeated so Jimmy Ott can write the picks down?

Agree about the inside jokes in the morning. Culotta and the Prince used to do that nonstop until somebody told them nobody wants to listen to that.

Even during busier periods, they have beaten any topic from the weekend to death by the end of Monday. Doesn't just apply to local radio, but sports talk in general.

I've quit listening to the morning show for the reason stated by OP. No guests. Just long discussions about nothing.

I still like Hunt Palmer's show the best. Will listen afterwards if I miss it.

There hasn’t been any meaning sports played in months and they have to fill 3 hours every day.

Yea… just tune into Hunt at 1pm… he covers all the others BS in a clear direct manner.

That’s a severe underestimation

So true…no one prepares anymore …rarely have scheduled interviews

Skip passing away, football starting, camps, and LSU all over the networks…this is not a slow news time

If they got rid of Ott and Moscone I’d be good.

On Wednesday they had a discussion about Dolly Parton, which I’m OK with if it’s brief. But then they went into talking about who should be on the Mount Rushmore of country music and from there went off one two or three different tangents. That’s just too much… stick to sports, specifically LSU. A little later they did a good job of breaking down the fall camp talking about how much better and efficient it is this year as opposed to last year. That’s the kind of stuff we want to hear.

I wish Jordy would come back.

Also, what happened to Louisiana Loaded podcast? No episodes for like a month.

But did you hear the yearly reminder that Jacob Hester played in the NFL with the Chargers?

Ott and Hanny are at their best when they’re reminiscing on sports from the past. Like LSU stories from the 80s and 90s, at least that’s what I enjoy the most. Also hearing Hanny’s takes is refreshing. As soon as they have on one of those boring Vegas loons to talk about bet lines it tanks the show. Ott was literally betting on nfl preseason football last week….preseason. Tell me you have a problem without telling me you have a problem.
