i guess ole c temple didn't witness hallman, dinardo, and brady.
all had multiple below .500 conference seasons and wasn't fired. why wasn't it important to him then. why wasn't he fuming to the media then?

If Temple has any pull with players in Louisiana then he should recruit them because he for LSU and not the coach...Nega Tiger...

Wow he's certainly not doing the bball program any favors by spouting off like that

From speaking with Trent at the Top 28, Temple said nothing that TJ doesn't know or hasn't said much the same himself.

Thanks for all your assistance in helping Trent Johnson achieve that goal, CT!

Temple isn't a recruiter in any way. He is involved with local teams and players. We had a nice run with local talent. They didn't come here for Temple. If anything, Pierre was more influential than Temple. The guy needs to back away all together and stop pretending like he matters.
Bass, Mitchell, Davis and Thomas all came because LSU was in BR. Not because Temple was around. If they weren't local, they wouldn't have come here at all. Temple hung around because his kids spent almost a decade at LSU. That's about it.

Agree. It may be the "I used to be somebody!" syndrome.

He's not saying anything that everybody doesn't already know.

Alot of parents get too close to programs and then when their kids leave it's tough for them to step away. This guy is a bad representative of LSU and I have no respect for him at all.

Poorly written because it makes it seem as if Johnson were on the hot seat when he took the job. Don't you think that seat cooled after his first season?
And the "no fan of Johnson" comment is the writer's own. Why didn't he attribute this to Temple using a quote? Or is this supposed to be general knowledge?

Only part I agree with. LSU should be no worse than average (.500) in any sport imho with homer glasses on.

Let's face it guys! The race issue is in play here. It's not JMHO, it's a fact of life. I'm personally glad that CT is putting his 2 cents woth in on the problem. I'm not saying that he's right in every way here, but I give him credit for one thing. He understands in ways that some don't that whites are hesitant about criticizing the first black BB coach at LSU. He is opening the way, once again, as he did a long time ago, for progress and fairness. Thank you for stating your opinion. Maybe some of these cowardly whites will finally do the same. Let's get over the GDed race thing. It should be about fing winning games for LSU...nothing more or less!!! If he's not getting the job done, then off with him! If he can't recruit to LSU, then show him the door!

Never mind the fact that the guy might be the least qualified candidate to take over a major college basketball program. But I give you props for giving this board over 21k awesome opinions throughout the years.

give temple a shot imo

TJ has alienated more long term LSU basketball supporters and former players than any of you care to know.
TJ - you are too good to need any help then do your fricking job that we pay $1.5 million a year per annum.
Temple is right on. Mediocrity should not be the goal let alone cellar dwellars.
