right, like anyone who thinks a team from 30 years ago would simply dominate this years team

Right because the goal is not 10 ft like it was in the 80's. The court is bigger. Stringer I am sure would blow right by Ethan Martin. I am sure Garret Green would dunk on Greg Cook (if u believe that would happen ur clueless). Matt Derenbecker would shoot over Leonard Mitchell like he was 6-2 and Howard Carter would be inept?

Do u really believe that?

you're right about that. but if you think players are not far more physically gifted these days, you're nuts.

Overall I would say there are more talented players now as a whole. But in several areas such as mid range shooting they arent as good. Not to mention the players I mentioned all played 4 years of college ball. Macklin almost 5 and do you really believe good to great college players then couldnt be good to great now? Do you really believe Stringer could stay on the court with Martin? Derenbecker with Carter??????

So if you honestly believe that players improve so much over time. I agree there is some change over time but not near as much as in football where the sizes have really increased since the 80's.

Just for frame of reference Magic Johnson was a
6-9 pg in 1979-over 30 years ago. Wilt was 7-1 in 1955 56 years ago, Larry Bird was a 6-9 forward over 30 years ago. Michael Jordan a 6-6 guard 27 years ago. Karl Malone a 6-8 PF almost 30 years ago. If basketball evolves as much as you say would u make the argument that team would be dominated say 10 years from now by an average group of NBA players in 2021? That would be over 60 years since Wilt came on the scene and over 40 since Bird and Magic and almost 40 for Jordan? If players evolve that fast surely Wilt Chamberlain would be some backup Centers bitch in 2021!

The 1980 LSU Basketball team would destroy LSU 2010 by 30+ easily & empty the bench doing it.

Anyone who actually saw both teams play would agree! I mean come on can you imagine Green, White and Derenbecker matched up with Mitchell, Cook and Macklin? Do you actually think Stringer could stay in front of Ethan Martin? Howard Carter at 6-5 and 235 lbs and 3 pt range wouldnt own anyone on that team?

This team is the worst collection of talent ever at LSU, and I see no reason to optimistic about next year.

yep. now sure if you gave them time to get acclimated to todays game, then maybe they'd hold their own. otherwise, nah, not so much
