Bass, Mitchell, Davis and Thomas all came because LSU was in BR. Not because Temple was around.

Who do you think got all those kids to play AAU ball together?

That being said, why would anyone want him as a coach. He got his kid playing with great talent and they decided to come to the same school and play together. 3 years of good local talent doesn't make him a great recruiter, more so lucky.

The last time I checked, this is still America and we still have at least some vestiges of freedom. CT has the right to speak his mind as a past player and fan of LSU basketball. All I'm saying is that the program is not progressing as many of us hoped it would under the new coach. Forget all the small-town petty garbage bs...forget that he's LSU's first black coach....that s---t will not advance LSU or the program. I say "let's clear the air, tell all, say all, don't hide behind racial fears or notions...just tell it like it is...same for CPM...let's just be truthful and honest in a way that helps the athletic programs win and move forward....next...

Ironic how the ones that burned down had some of the biggest problem.

Oh, and re: BREC? Dude doesn't have time to attend meetings. He just doesn't think he's unimportant enough to be removed from them for failing to attend even 10% of them since he was appointed.

Dude's a member of the upright citizen's brigade.

Patience BS.......he's 100% right, we've lost 20 games 2 years in a row which is absolutely unacceptable. There is no reason why we shouldn't at least field a competitive team and lose to Nicholls, get beat by 20 by a crappy North Texas team, and need overtime to beat McNeese.

I agree with the thoughts, I just don't like the source of them.

Who is the LSU President? Is Lombardi President? Is he the first Italian-American to be president? If so, we should respect him. Is Mike Whatshisname president or Chancellor? This has become overwhelmingly important. Wow.

First of all LSU will not let CT STFU like most of you have said. His opinion is highly regarded when it comes to LSU bb and has been for a long time. Dale Brown thought it was important enough to call a meeting for the two of them at his house a couple of weeks ago. He knows the shape of the program and sees no end in site with TJ who has failed miserably. He just wants LSU to win and knows it can't and will not with TJ. The junior and sophmore class in this state next year is as good as we will ever see, and he knows the pulse on most of these kids. believe it or not...he still has some serious stroke with LSU recruits. Look what happened when TJ told him to hit the door, the worst talent we have ever seeen in LSU uniforms, it is what it is. We need to get someone in here who can get most of these kids. CT does not want to coach LSU, but he does want someone in here who can. People can believe what they want, TJ burned many bridges when he got here, before he had done anything. HE made many mistakes and this is the result.

it makes sense, honestly. I just want a fun team to watch, really. LSU's standards are not very high, making it sad when you can not live up to the low expectations

if the football program was .500 for more than one year, we would be looking for a new coach. We need to put that same standard to basketball.

There is no connection there. How you made one up out of thin air is typical of your posting though.

Not defending TJ at all. I agree that things just suck at this point. However, my point is that if you do bring someone else in here and they do not kiss CT's arse, but win, is CT still going to bitch because his arse isn't getting kissed properly. I am sure that the AD is feeling the heat. Besides, if we applied that standard to BB, Dale Brown would not have lasted as long as he did, as his last few years were horrible, and we got NCAA probation to boot.

I recall how long it took Ole Miss to get its football program back on track because Johnny Vaught keep meddling even though he was "retired". Same thing is happening at Michigan. While folks have a right to speak their mind, we have an AD who is hired to run the program. Give him a chance to run it. If the powers that be do not like his choices, they will ditch him. I am quite sure that if we go through another season next year like this one (and I don't have a lot of optimism at this point), TJ will be gone.

Ct does not want anyone to kiss his arse. He just wants someone to win. There are people like CT in every program in the country, TJ's hard headedness has gotten him in the boat he is in. TJ knows now he screwed up and is in trouble, his way does not work in the SEC otherwise he would have never agreed to meet with Dale and CT. He has no talent on this team up to this point and has doing nothing to change that, he hasn't even fired anyone on his staff, how is that for being stubborn..

Except for that McDonald's All-American. But yeah, those are so commonplace at LSU and have been chomping at the bit to come here. Particularly when they are out of state.

Turner has talent.
Stringer and DBeck have talent even if they struggled as true freshmen.

TJ does have a little talent on this team. Just because they played horribly last year, doesn't automatically mean they'll be horrible next year.

Last years team was a clust fuk down low for the 2nd straight year. Storm was hurt. White is a bench player, as is Green.
O'bryant will be an upgrade on talent alone, although he will struggle because he's a Freshman.
Hamilton should provide us with some good size down low.
If the Big fellows play better, our perimeter will play better. Take it to the bank.
