So my point stands. Sure, that LSU club may beat this team, but who really knows. Just look at the differences with the physical build of football players over the last twenty years at every position. It's astounding how different the game is in each sport based simply on the athleticism and physical nature of the current players.

One can look at a player running and jumping and tell his athleticism. I guarantee you anyone who saw Leonard Mitchell play for any length of time will tell you he could outrun, outjump and outplay anyone on LSU's frontline now. Atleticism is athleticism if a guy is a great leaper he is a great leaper. A 40 inch vertical is just as good now as it was in the 80's. A 6-9 245 pound Greg Cook would push around a Garret Green or Malcolm White even easier than he pushed around Sam Bowie and Mel Turpin.

Leonard Mitchell played against and guarded Charles Barkley, Michael Jordan and Dominique Wilkins to name a few. Do you not think if he could compete with those guys he could compete with and dominate the pitiful collection we have now. Rudy Macklin played against Darrel Griffith in high school and college. Darrel had a 48 inch vertical do you think guys have 60 inch verticals now?

Fair enough. It's my fault for allowing some of these same posters, not you, to rope me into this conversation in the first place.
