He said that unlike other games, the wide receivers were not getting open and that Daniels didn’t really have nobody to throw the ball to. I know I have been hard on Daniels the last two games but I wanted to point out what Caskey said about the receivers not getting separation vs Texas A&M.

We should have continued to pound it with the running game.

It was the Arkansas game redux.

Jayden Daniels is our QB1 in ‘23 if he returns. Folk need to come to terms with that. Walker will have his time to shine. It just won’t be next year, unless Daniels totally shits the bed or he gets hurt.

They need to get JD5 some hypnotherapy or something to figure out whatever mental block he has about throwing the ball over the middle and further than 5-10 yards Down the field.

That drove me crazy both games where the running backs were averaging 5 yards a carry it seemed like.

Just wait until they face georgias DBs.. this game could get ugly if our defense doesn’t show up…

With the exception of the fumble and the over throw to Emery on the wheel route, I didn’t think JD played that bad. He’s definitely played a lot worse.

The poor performance on defense is what really sealed our fate.

I got the feeling that A&M was playing physical and holding LSU receivers all game. For some reason, refs didn't start calling it until the last LSU drive.

Or maybe our defense should have showed up and not let A&M score more points than they have all fricking year.

They picked up that one flag before halftime when the guy was all over Brian Thomas back.

I remember multiple plays were before Daniels started scrambling around, there was open receivers. A missed touchdown for Nabers I believe in the second or 3rd quarter. They had good coverage but also some missed throws early

A&M finished with the #1 pass defense in the country
They are talented and experienced in the secondary

I agree, Saturday I kept telling my BIL....run the ball, run the ball, they really have not stopped us when we do.

Still between the two drops by No. 2 that both killed drives, the flag picked up on the INT and the ball that could have been caught in the endzone, not sure the opponent really stopped us passing much either.

The defense was the issue that game - the angst over the offense is way overboard.

You still have to take some shots. A&M receivers made several catches with DBs all over them.

Both the pass and the pass route are designed to be completed in 3.5 seconds. That timing is practiced daily. Joe Brady had the receivers programmed to work through the whistle. If the ball isn’t passed in 3.5 seconds, “get open.” If the pass is complete, block. I’ve noticed these receivers just stop after running their routes. This QB has a difficulty in making decisions after his progressions. So many times he decides his receiver before making his progressions and he follows that receiver through his route, which tips the defense.

Emery should have had 20 carries in the 3rd Q. We were about to break their D. The fumble put us behind and gave them new energy. Ball game.

In the transfer portal era, how long does a guy that believes he is the best option sit on a bench and wait when the guy in front of him is so hot and cold

Still gotta take shots, caskey. Get a PI. Keep them honest. Take the shot or lose the game like we did.

This is a misunderstood stat. Aggie was #1 in pass defense because they sucked at run defense, not because they were good against the pass.

Going to push back here because I don’t think Caskey’s Clicker had any footage to review besides the what we saw.

Unless they had film of the entire game and all the moving pieces, how can they make the statements about the WR? I reviewed their YouTube’s and there was no additional film they looked at.
