Everybody slants truth to make themselves look better, including Keith. It’s over and done so let Ole Miss and media continue to be obsessed with what LSU and Kiffin are doing.

also OM AD: we will convene after the Egg Bowl, knowing he's leaving, but winning that game gets OM a playoff spot, then we'll kick him out!!! {paraphrasing}

This guy shouldn’t be allowed to manage a Dollar General after the way he’s handled this. I hope OM keeps him forever.

Exactly. Its a poor PR spin job. They need a better PR firm

The ball was in their court the whole time, and other coaches have left their school and still been able to coach their teams to the end. There is a reason that Ole Miss is losing the war of opinions. They don't have the high ground. An ultimatum with a follow through was the only way to put an end to it, they knew it, but as long as Lane was the coach then he was still the coach there. They knew he wasn't staying, he didn't sign the extension.

Yet there was a very public meeting postponed as the two met again. I guess the AD is digging in on the "I live here' bullshite.

I'm glad that Keith Carter has confirmed that he knew Kiffin was leaving for weeks, and that he didn't even bother to do a coaching search during that process.

Keith Carter is trying to change the narrative to save face with Ole Miss fans. He will be fired within two years. Pete Golding is a good coach and a good recruiter but that doesn't always translate to being a good HC. Ole Miss has had far superior Coaches than Pete Golding that have failed at Ole Miss.

This dipshite literally gave a sideline interview at the Egg Bowl and said “i believe Lane is staying.”

So who’s the liar now bitch?

Ole Miss AD seems like he's incompetent. His comments are very inconsistent and he seems to be making this personal.

So then why did the dufus AD say we’ll wait to make a decision until after egg bowl?

Because he didn't want to risk losing the Egg Bowl, which would have taken Ole Miss out of playoffs, with Kiffin leaving.

The AD wanted it both ways, just like Kiffin did.

Carter also thought up until Saturday that Lane Kiffin would be returning to Ole Miss despite the obvious evidence that he wasn’t in the form of an unsigned contract extension. They were both wrong.

Ole Miss relishes the role of victim. They have most pundits clutching their pearls but are clueless about knowing when to shut up.

Are you kidding me? LK gets paid incentives by LSU for OM's playoff performance. Sending CWJ back only benefits LK financially.

But be blind to that!

Kiffin said he and the admin spent that Saturday evening going over how he might be able to coach

I don’t believe OM

He might have assumed that at some point the AD would act like an adult and do what was best for the program to close out their best season in 70 years.

If that is so the A.D. failed by not having someone else lined up.!

I knew several weeks ago that there wasn’t gonna be anyway out of going to Dallas this weekend with the in-laws. Doesn’t mean I’m gonna stop thinking about/trying to get out of it.

No shite. The whole argument is just a ruse. Everyone knew that him coaching was not tenable.

PR stunt
