who comprises this thug element? I want names.

i remember in 2008 there was a mutiny against J Lee to get in JJ, led by d byrd

then last year there was supposedly another mutiny to get in J Lee over JJ

so i have no clue who was on whose team, but it seemed that by monday there weren't too many people supporting JJ anymore, esp after he yelled at ware

My guess - it's the NOLA crew vs the rest of the team and the head of the bunch is JJ.

Why would the players be fed up with miles?

For running a fullback dive on 3rd and 4 and then punting the ball while down two scores in the second half of the game.

For a coach that made his reputation by gambling on his players (i.e. UF game in '07), he looked scared and out of his league. BTW I don't think he is gambler, in fact I think the forth down calls in the UF game in 07 were the result of early missed FG's and no confidence in his kicker.

Something is fishy, don't know if the fix was in but Miles and the team never showed up. How in the hell can you give an effort like that in the biggest game in LSU history. Hopefully the players tell us what really happened but Vegas knew somthing that the fans didn't.

What happened in the locker room after the game?

I've heard that something heavy went dowm after the game, but nobody seems to know exactly what.

Do you think that some of the players finally got fed up with Miles and let him have it?

Exactly... How many passes did RR get? How many passes did RS get... How many passes did Landry get... If you deny any frustration from our wide receiver core, then you are just not thinking...

Wonder if Team Lee's supporters were sacked from playing as well? Was T-Bob a Team Lee supporter?

Forget it. I assumed Nicky got help from the NFL.
I was right in assuming they were shown a look they had not seen before.

@schadjoe Joe Schad
Kirby Smart says Gregg Williams of Saints helped w plan to contain option plays

@schadjoe Joe Schad
Hightower said Saints plan basically called for defensive linemen to move further outside and Smart said it ran into teeth of their D

Smart embarrassed us by using the Saints D-Coordinator.

I'm thinking someone got to Miles before the game. Why else would he not change a damn thing during the game. He's not that dumb. We've seem him make in game adjustments in the past.

A lot of those players wanted JJ as QB. I'm sure there was a shite ton of stuff said in the locker room, but it wasn't the players vs CLM, it was players vs each other vs coaches etc. But, really, after a loss like that I'd sure as hell hope everyone was pissed.

I wouldn't say its a complete thug element just the loud versus the relative quiet. You got to look at it as who has backed JJ through the season, mostly it seems like the defense.

I think ya'll are looking for something that isn't there. I think we just got the shite beat out of us. Demoralizing victory by Bama, aided by sub par QB-play and pee wee level play calling.

Our defense played fine IMO. For them to be on the field as long as they were and only give up 21 pts, was impressive to me. The team was worn down mentally and physically when Trent ran that last score in.

Um...it is easy. They played a team that they had already beaten. They went 13-0 and had gotten up to beat Arkansas and Georgia, while Bama sat on the couch. Mentally, this team was not excited to play this game and Alabama had everything to play for. It really is that simple. These are 18 yr old kids that play and channel emotion. I know...it is the coaches responsibility to get them ready. You know what..I am sure the coached did that. Also, it is a lot easier for the losing team to look at game film and say okay here is what we have to change. As the winning team, you look at the game film and say well this worked...it is just human nature. The teams are so close physically, that whoever has the mental edge would win the game. I know it is not a popular answer to accept, but it is what it is. It sucks, which is why the rematch was such an unfair proposition.

By the way....10 times there has been a rematch of a regular season game in a bowl game. You know what....in 8 of those games the orginal losing team won the rematch by an average margin of 21 points. There are some pretty good teams in that sample and it is more than a statistical anomaly. Hard to accept, but it is reality.

On Monday afternoon, Finebaum reports that he heard something very disturbing about LSU that had happened that gave him pause. I thought he was talking about LSU players being at a strip bar or something, so I ignored it. He did not elaborate.

I hear that Danny Sheridan said something happened before the game that caused him to move all his money to Alabama.

The big money, in the millions of dollars went to Alabama right before the game. Vegas knows and there is speculation that they heard about something going down.

The team came out as lifeless as I have ever seen them from the opening kickoff on. The whole game was a disaster and we did not play like LSU at any point.

JJ plays like JJ does and no QB change ever happens.

Miles sounds like someone died after the game. He has no fire at all, no passion, he is just mumbling his words.

We are now hearing about a major blow up after the game in the locker room. Players came out saying that Lee should have been put in.

These are just the things that are being reported and that we know. Something happened.

The vegas line was moving away from Bama as the game approached. That is, more money flowed to the Bama side as the game approached. I know everyone thinking it, so I'll just say it. Maybe Miles and some players friends and relatives bet the farm on Bama and they assured themselves of a big payday so they could live comfortably for a very long time.
