Official prediction for each LSU football game and a breakdown (open to any responses)

Good evening everyone. Have made one of these the last 2 years and it’s always fun to discuss. For the record my previous predictions for 25 and 24 were 9-3, and 9-3 if you wanna put any stock to my breakdowns.
Now to the real stuff,
Vs Clemson W
Clemson like LSU will have mostly a brand new team. Clemson returns there star duo WRs of Bryant Wesco, and TJ Moore. However the run game and QB play can affect there game breaking abilities. With this being Lane’s first game in Tiger Stadium the place will be jumping. I think LSU comes out hot early and builds off a 14-0 lead and never trails. Clemson does remain in striking distance though, LSU wins 34-20.
Vs Louisiana Tech W
Playing Louisiana talent is always tough even if lower end 2 and 3 stars. LSU had to grit out a win last time they faced, however I think the offense scheme will be much better and Lane has historically beat up on lower tier teams. They show some wrinkles and LSU cruises 52-17.
At Ole Miss W
Very tough game to pick, However I feel like Ole Miss will be so fired up to prove a point that it back fires on them. Lane at the end of the day is the better coach. And I think it will show in the 2nd half. Ole Miss lost some guys on defense and some very experienced older WRs. Chambliss and Lacy can only do so much. LSU pulls it off and wins 31-27 in a classic.
Vs Texas AM W
I think this team finally has enough of Marcel Reed gashing them with his legs, and I think the sting of last years takeover in our stadium fuels everyone on this team and the fanbase to be extra loud. Just cannot see LSU dropping 3 straight to A&M. LSU 38-28
Vs Mcneese State W
Similar to LT in week 2. Gotta show up against Louisiana talent. I think LSU gets Longstreet some reps early and they roll to a 55-10 victory
At Kentucky W
I think this is a trap game. Kentucky returns quite a bit of production, and bring in Kenny Mitchey who nearly won the starting job at Notre Dame. We have also seen Kentucky give Lane some fits in the past. With an undefeated LSU team coming in I think they will be fired up to play. I see LSU going down early and maybe tied at half. But pull away late and win 34-24.
Vs Miss State W
Kamario Taylor the Miss state QB will be a handful. Torched Ole Miss at times last season with very few talent around him. Miss state returns an over 65 PCT of there offense which is good and bad you could argue. The main issue though was there defense and with the DC hire in Arnett I think it takes a few years to get “his” guys in. LSU offense looks unstoppable and wins 51-27
At Auburn W
Another one of those game where it could be a trap game. With Alabama next up on the schedule LSU could get caught here. However Lane highlighted in his media day that Auburn always has attention especially being the OC at Alabama. He knows what that stadium brings, and he also knows Auburn brings in a very talented QB who gave Alabama fits for 2 straight years. But in the end LSU simply has more talent and they remain focused to win a sloppy game 24-16
Vs Alabama W
If you know Lane, you know he always will Alabama circled on his calendar. Getting them at home this year is nice as well. Alabama lost there best WR and there decent RB. Ty Simpson was a Saban guy who is no longer there. I just don’t see the fear factor anymore from this Bama team. A lot of unknowns and I think playing on the road is difference maker here. LSU wins another defensive game, 26-20.
Vs Texas L
As much as I want LSU to go undefeated, I have to be real. I think playing Auburn, Alabama, and Texas within 4 weeks of each is tough. However we do get Texas at home. But I think Arch comes out with something to prove and I think they got the RBs now to run just enough to edge out LSU in tiger stadium. Texas wins 32-24
At Tennessee L
You all probably will get on me for predicting a loss to Tennessee, but that place is nails. I have personally been to that stadium and it’s peak it’s probably 2nd to Tiger Stadium in the SEC. They will be rowdy and they will be throwing stuff at Lane. Tennessee coaches also probably have some extra motivation game planning against Leavitt considering he dumped them for LSU. I think LSU loses back to back here 27-20 Tennessee.
Vs Arkansas W
LSU bounces back here, and wins big. Arkansas bringing in more players than maybe anyone in the SEC. LSU knows how scrappy Arkansas is from last season and doesn’t play around knowing a win clinches a playoff birth. LSU big 41-15.
Prediction:
10-2 and a playoff birth. They avoid the SEC champ game in which Texas and Georgia beat up on each other.

I mean you are just lying. Last year you predicted 11-1 with an SEC Championship game and playoff appearance.
Your 2025 prediction

I don't think they do as well as 10-2
Posted on 7/23/26 at 9:43 pm to Tigerbait1977
Tennessee could have 3-4 losses by the time we play them.

lol you just shredded any ounce of credibility this guy had

9-3
Texas A&M.. A loss after an emotional win the week before..
Auburn.. Hard to beat them at there place. And a hiccup and.
The third loss is to georgia in the sec.Championship.

Tenn even have a qb yet? And been there a few times it's by far the quietest 100k fans ever.

If we are undefeated when Texas comes to Tiger Stadium, that game and atmosphere will be insane.

I get that Tennessee is on the road, will probably be cold, 100k fans that don't like CLK, and right after a tough game against Texas.
Even still, I don't think we'll lose that one. I think it'll be a hard fought game, but we should come out on top.
@Ole Miss - ATM at home is a tough stretch, but we should be motivated. Oxford will be pretty amped for 60k fans.
@Auburn - Bama - Texas is the gauntlet IMO. You're right that Tennessee could be a let down spot, but I think we'll pull it off.

The same could be said for LSU

I understand it’s the offseason, but making full, complete, game by game predictions about teams you know absolutely nothing about seems a little short sighted in my opinion
Nobody, and I mean NOBODY, has any idea how LSU or any other team will mesh as a unit for the upcoming season - preseason predictions are at an all time low for accuracy these days
Anything from 6-6 to 12-0 is possible

I have the exact same W/L predictions.
10-2 with losses to Texas and Tennessee.
10-2 with losses to Texas and Tennessee.

We lose to Ole Miss and A&M in Sept. Lose to either Bama or Texas
Lose to either Auburn or Tenn
8-4, but we are a much better team in Nov than Sept.

I can see it, hell the 7th place SEC team last year was Vanderbilt at 10-2, even if we go 10-2 like Vandy and are on the outside in the end, I would qualify Year 1 of the Lane Era an unmitigated success

Tennessee in the 90's was excellent. But after '06-'07 that place lost its magic. I have been there the 2nd most of any stadium in College football and it has never gotten back their magic. Whether it be bad decisions in stadium construction, fans lack of belief, bad teams, etc. It hasn't been in the top 5 of the SEC Fulmer quit/retired. LSU, Auburn, Bama, Florida and The Aggies are at the top of atmospheres in the SEC right now. We all shite on A&M but they have a good home field advantage if we are being unbiased.
I also don't see Tenn being very good for a second straight season this year. And that matters more in this day and age in College Football.
