I heard so much about Tennessee and how their fans show up rain or shine, win or lose. I was excited to experience it in 2017. I wasn’t impressed at all. The stands were half empty and their shitty stadium was literally falling apart. Pieces of the scoreboard where breaking off and flying into the few people who were still there.
They went 8-5 last year. Are they expected to do better this season?

I do not think Sam can stay healthy with the beatings he will take, and that foot injury is a bad one to recover from. Longstreet will take over after mid-season. LSU finishes 9-3 or 8-4 and the Texas Bowl.

Tennessee went 8-5 last year. They went 0-4 against ranked teams. They are not expected to be a better team this year.

Thank you for the post. Took some time and I could easily see something very close to what you predicted playing out.
I believe Auburn is going to be a much tougher out than what people are expecting. Thank God we get them in a morning game. Jordan Hare is a meat grinder even when the team is down. I dont see us losing this one but it has trap game written all over it if we aren't 100% on our game.
Kentucky will be overmatched but could be another very tough game on the road sandwiched between marquis matches. We better be ready here also.
Your prediction regarding the Texas game could definitely come true. They are loaded and Arch is in year 3.
But I seriously want to win this game so bad and give them a beatdown after the classless crap they pulled when we visited in 2019 with the locker room ac being turned off. Horns fans are quite possibly the most arrogant in all of sports.
Regardless of the outcome, this is going to be the most exciting, most anticipated season in many years and I am stoked!

Notwithstanding the $200 million regime change, the reality for 2026 LSU Football is that this team is just as likely to go 9-3 as 7-5. Anything on either side is an outlier and either tremendous or disastrous.
Kelly and Sloan were bad last year but the roster was loaded on paper, just like this one. Someone on this year's schedule will be overrated like Clemson last season and underrated like Ole Miss and Oklahoma last season.
Genius Blake Baker faces at least four (4) incredibly mobile QBs (Chambliss, Reed, Keelon Russell, Byrum Brown), so buckle up for that. And would it really shock anyone if true freshman Faizon Brandon (6'4 Tennessee monster freshman) goes Jalen Milroe on LSU in Knoxville?
Every team in the conference has weaknesses and unknowns. We have a lot, too. Enjoy the ride.
