Please no
It took so long to actually move our offense into this century I don’t want to go backwards
He’s conservative conservative conservative

Joe Brady might not be interested, but he'd have to be considered. He's being looked at for NFL HC slots. As the old song goes ... money, money changes everything.

Clawson will definitely get big program consideration soon.
He's a good coach.

Clawson and Doeren are good coaches but both fit the culture at their current programs. Don’t think they would be fits at LSU.

Pat Fitzgerald is not leaving Northwestern .
Herm Edwards went out to Arizona to find a place to ultimately retire to.

Kellen Moore Dallas OC. This wouldn’t fit SW’s pattern but he’s A sought after commodity. Even hears Dallas should fire the current coach and hire him

Dave Clawson would be a very good hire but probably a bad fit. Plus his offense is a notoriously slow install. By that I mean it may take several seasons for it to bear fruit. Patience would definitely wear thin amongst the fanbase. Here's a name out of left field. Fresno State head coach Kalen DeBoer.

Damnstrong, I like the way you think. I think Quinn would be an excellent hire if he wanted to coach college football. Most NFL guys have no interest in long term college careers.

He is mine as well. He is highly thought of in coaching circles. He's young 33 or 34 a former quarterback . If Dallas has a good year come mid November he will get a look because his stock is only going up. Plus he's never faced Saban and for me that's a plus.

Off the wall suggestion? Mike Tomlin. Never had a losing season, went to two Super Bowls and won one, builds killer defenses.

Gus Malzahn should be considered.

Herm Edwards - He has been to the NFL playoffs 4 times. Went to two AFC Championship games. He has Arizona State at 5-1 this year but his recruiting has dropped off a cliff.
Recruiting violations last year and he's retiring after season..

I was hoping someone would do this thread. I couldn’t think of any myself. Good stuff though.
Historically Woody seems to be pretty persuasive, and I think he goes hard after Cristobal & maybe even after Riley if he smells even the slightest intrigue from their end.

Pat Fitzgerald - Sustained success at his alma mater. He is their longest tenured coach in school history.
Fitz is a great coach. He's turned down some big offers, including NFL.

One more time . . . NFL coordinators are *NOT* going back to college football to be anybody's head coach. Quinn and Kellen Moore are one step from being NFL head coaches.
Quinn has revived his personal stock and will get consideration for another HC gig.
Moore might even get a head coaching offer next season. But remember he was a 6-10 offensive coordinator a year ago when Dak Prescott got hurt and people were ready to fire him in Dallas.
Moore already turned down his alma mater (Boise). Why would he leave Jerry Jones' comforting arms to be a college coach?
Stick to college names, not NFL ones.
