You could say the same about most of the non-Heisman winning QB’s since 2008

Juan Betanzos (Look it up!)

He was an LSU kicker that was booed so often for missing (which he did a lot) that when he finally made one he ran to the student section and flipped them off (there is a famous picture of it)

wasn’t even alive yet and know you got your kickers mixed up

the name was Ronnie Lewis.

I'm on Team Booty-- don't mess with Josh. He played very well during most of his sophomore season, generating big wins over Kentucky, Miss St, Alabama and Ole Miss. Just remove that one bad decision vs UAB.

This is not going to happen - you have to be athletic to play QB. That is Nuss' biggest problem - he is immobile - that doesn't cut it in college or the NFL anymore.

I'm not reading through 2 pages to see if this was addressed, but I think you are missing the point of the post. Nuss was supposed to be our guy. We have been seeing him on the sidelines for 3 years waiting his turn. One of those years he had a Heisman winning QB right in front of him. We all expected great play after his year 4 come out. It was a huge let down as he just doesn't have it, so naturally the tide has turned on him. Jennings, Harris, or Etling never had this amount of hopeful pressure.

He's had two different HCs and (now) 4 different OCs. Yet, he continuously makes the same dumb plays. The same stupid spin right into the defender the other night is the same dumb play he made in his first significant action vs. Arkansas in 2021...and countless times since. I highly doubt he's being coached to make those plays.

I don't think he takes to coaching because he believes he's far better than he is. He's simply going to do what he wants out there. That's why you've seen so much frustration from the HCs. Players make mistakes. Coaches can live with that. What pisses them off is ignoring coaching and just doing whatever the hell you want. You saw it Saturday. Frank Wilson is not a QB coach. And he was not chewing arse up and down the sideline. But he, like every coach before him, finally had enough of Nuss's shite and snapped.

He'll get a shot in the NFL. But if/when he decides to go rouge, those better players will eat him alive and the coaches will quickly move on.

Tiger droppings didn't exist when most of those instances took place (except Jefferson). Everything gets magnified with social media.

Never understood the hate for JLee.
You mean the guy that threw 16 ints and 6 pic 6s in 8 games??? You don't realize he was the single cause for multiple losses right? We blame our defense for being bad, but holy shite a guy is throwing 2 ints a game and every other game he's giving the opponent free points.

Before anybody goes with a debate, Jefferson was horrendous in 2010. Him, 2014 Jennings, and 2016 Harris were as bad as 2008 Lee, just in different ways.

The difference was those were like 14 times a game on 3rd and long. Which is a terrible way to manage a QB

with Nuss it’s the opposite, the offense is built to run entirely thru him and we don’t have an o-line & he isn’t that guy. I always firmly believe Les ruined QBs and some of the mentioned guys could have been functioning college QBs in a Les predictable offense

nuss should be a serviceable QB in a more functioning offense but we don’t have that

We were spoiled by Burrow and Daniel’s.
People saying "spoiled" by Daniels and Burrow, don't understand. All teams go through a standard change if they find the right coach. LSU, between Burrow 2019 and Nuss last season, we saw a significant uptick in QB play. Did you know that between 2019 and 2024, we hadn't thrown for less than 3100 yards and 23 TDs as a team? Did you know that lowest output of 3100 passing yards came in 2020 where we only played 10 games? In a 13 game span, that 2020 offense would have thrown for 4060 yards 32 TDs to 12 ints. Did you know in a losing season in 2021 we threw for 3300 yards and 32 TDs to 11 ints? In 2022 3770 yards 23 TDs to 7 ints, but our starting QB ran for over 800 yards and 11 TDs. In 2023 4400 yards and 44 TDs to 5 ints. In 2024 4100 yards 29 TDs to 12 ints.

It's completely reasonable to expect us to be pissed at an extrapolated 13 games of 3130 yards (3122 in 10 games in 2020), 20 TDs (lowest before was 23, but a QB made up for it with 11 rush TDs), and 7 ints. We literally haven't seen this level of ineptitude at QB statistically, in the past 6 years,
