Even if Hill skates on the battery charge, he still deserves discipline for getting himself into the predicament in the first place and then handling it so poorly afterward.

Who started the fight and why is irrelevant at this point. It almost surely will dissolve into an unwinnable he said-she said argument.

I disagree. If Hill didn't start the fight and gets off on all charges those facts will absolutely be relevant. Miles doesn't need to be "heavy handed" as Duncan suggests. He has already done that with many high profile players, and as Duncan's own arrest numbers show, Miles does a great job managing his players using his current system. He absolutely does a better job than the rest of the conference. Miles needs to react in the exact same way he always does. He needs to follow the letter of the law, follow school policy, and if no legal charges are brought upon the player, then no game or practice time should be missed.

One point I will agree with is the poor handling of the situation after the fact by Hill. That will be hard for him to explain.

Hill isnt going anywhere. He only kicks shitty players off the team after 1 or 2 arrests. Guys like RP and TM7 stick around, 4 or 5 chances

Louisiana needs to come out of the dark ages and repeal that stupid fricking law that makes it a crime to get a BJ in high school. Just because daddy couldn't teach his little angel not to put the star's cock in her mouth and to further teach her a little about the birds and the bees it shouldn't be held against the rest of the world. This law is so selectively enforced it is a joke...and probably only in this instance because it was a dark man. Come to the modern ages Louisiana.

And..... he's passed every drug test. Go figure! Hill has 2 strikes on him in my view. One more screw up and that should be it. That's what I would do. May cost you another possible national championship like last year but Miles has got to learn to recruit quality kids and not those that get in trouble with law enforcement. He knew going in that Hill was on thin ice. We'll see how the next 1/3 of the year plays out.

Why do people keep saying "let the legal system play out"? The dude hit someone at a bar while he was on probation. I'm not saying lets kick him off the team but lets also not act like he didnt do anything

He got his oral by a freshmen in high school. They should separate them if they don't want them to be together. He got caught. This is hardly a RARE occurrence AT ALL

OH THE HORROR!

He got in a fight

He hit someone who called him a n#$$%^. I fail to see why he should be kicked off the team. If anything Miles should tell him behind closed doors good job and I will stand up for you as long as you don't go to jail.

Yes, it was a BJ, dumbfrick.

Yes, Hill is a dark man, dumbfrick.

Archaic laws should only be applied to cave-dumbfricks like you.

Wait, I thought someone made fun of his prior arrest and that is what pissed him off.

Seems to me that Les Miles ought to have a reputation for kicking people off the team. Is there a coach in college football who's given the boot to more key players since Perilloux in 2008?

Actually, most adult (over 30 years old) LSU alums probably agree with this observation. I know I do. The off the field problems are getting obnoxious, it is pretty clear that there is a general lack of discipline within the program.

Glad we have you as a spokesman.... Lets forget about the fact he graduates more players than all other sec schools except for Vandy. High quality players are the ones getting in trouble and thats all people hear about, not a large quantity but yeah he has lost control
