Sounds simple enough. I wonder why more coaches don't do this. You should send a memo.

In fact, what was Les thinking even offering this guy a scholarship? Surely he was the only one to offer, right? I missed the threads on here saying that that was a mistake.

I call on the Times-Picayune to learn the difference between reporting a story and trying to manufacture one.

Did any of you fricking idiots even bother reading the article? Dude is right on point.

I read it and will spare going back with all the shite that is wrong but off the top of my head.

He describes the latest bar fight as 'sordid'

He indicates it is irrelevant the actual events of the night.

He directly attributes the fall of USC and UF to player off field issues specifically arrests, we all know that Urban Meyer and Pete Carrol had nothing to do with the demise..it was the arrests.

They were probably sordid!

Listen, if you read the article he talks out of both sides of his mouth. He makes ZERO fricking sense.

He is as far off point as one can get, he is everywhere.

Acceptable? Yes. We obviously have the controls in place to limit this from happening. It hasn't been much of an issue, and when it is an issue it has been dealt with accordingly.

When you have 150 people associated with the team, it is impossible to except 0 deviance

accept? or expect? There are not that many players and its beside the point. I am not making an argument whether or not it should be accepted/expected, I am making an argument that when it does happen, discipline the player accordingly.

I call on anyone who's been a member of an LSU message board for nearly nine years to learn the difference between a newspaper story and an opinion column.

Lets the facts come out but if it was a "thug" beating followed by high 5's, yes kick him off the team.

Stupid position. Do what is best for Jeremy and the Taxpayer. He is a person who has screwed up with misdemeanors and lets say has two strikes against him. He has the chance to improve himself and become a productive member of society by earning a living and paying taxes. So stiffen his penalties and restrictions for behavior and give him one more strike.
Some have proposed that his probation be revoked. In that case he becomes a ward of the govt and cost you and me money. He loses his scholarship and likely gets no chance to earn his living in the NFL. Recidivism of this type of person is high and likely to cost the public a lot of money in the long run.
The better decision is to try to salvage this young man and turn him to a law abiding, taxpaying, productive citizen. Now it is just a shame that he is a star RB for LSU but if he were playing for Bama the logic would still be the same.

Well, you are the real dumbass then officer. If you could read and comprehend...oh, I forgot you never had to qualify in that department to get your little piggie badge...if you could do both you would see that I said that 1) the law itself is dumb. 2) it is not applied evenly and 3) it is applied more often statistically to minorities. It needs to be done away with.

You should leave the thinking part of law enforcement to your betters, boy!!!

Your mom was a two bit,

raised you in a cess pit.

Has my name on her left tit.

When riding my force 'it,

spits out the horse bit.

Says, "you ain't done yit!"

For your information dumbass, I have a bachelors degree & am very good at my job. Oh and the law is not dumb arse hole...the line has to be drawn somewhere. And if in fact it is statistically applied more often to minorities....then I guess that minorities commit the crime more often. I don't believe that is the case though, because I there are more white registered sex offenders than black
