And no #1 CFP Seed ever won the title before LSU did it in 2019. Hasn't happened doesn't mean can't happen.
Do I think we will? Unlikely. Do I think you are a tool? Yes.

They certainly don't look like a CFP team right now and odds are, they wont be but I'll remind you that before 2019, no team entering the CFP as #1 had ever won it all. There's a first time for everything.

Ohio State started 1-1 and won the championship in 2014

No team with 2 losses ever won a BCS Championship until someone did. I’m not saying we are good enough but the season is long.

No team had ever lost two games and won the Natty UNTIL the LSU TIGERS. WE DEFY THE ODDS!

You have what maybe two top 20 matchups to start a season each year? So it’s not that surprising being that not many teams go down 0-1 that had a chance to start with.

Look - I'm typically cautiously optimistic and have been known to talk some of the more reasonable negas down from the roof.
"Magically...dominate" does not equal getting pushed around. I didn't scour the box scores, but I think that was the first 31-point half since 2008 Florida (Tebow and Harvin). Maybe this FSU team is as good or better, but I don't think so.
The talent level is obviously, demonstrably just not there. The coaching (which certainly seemed to be a bright spot last year) is obviously not there. The preparation isn't there. The team had no legs for the second half. The team had no fire ... at all, in the red zone or in key defensive situations. The team gave up.
There is no optimistic spin on this until performance improves. Performance meaning effort, execution and results.
Period.

Did most LSU fans Realistically feel we would be in the college football playoff this year?

On paper, the 2022 team was a 1-point loss from being able to play in with a win against UGA. That's literally all the change needed reverse the 1-point loss to FSU and then beat UGA and 2022 LSU is in the CFP. ETA: It was not unrealistic to expect the team to be in the hunt into October or even November.
To then see the team open with the worse half of football in 15 years is, obviously, disappointing. Worse than that, it is troubling, because that is definitely the wrong way on the trend line. The longer the BK era continues, it is increasingly his team and decreasingly O's team. There are only a handful of players and coaches left, already, from the O era.
Now - having said that, the team could win out, crush UGA in Atlanta and cruise in. Then again, monkeys could fly out of my butt.

True, and no team will this year either. All LSU can hope for is a NY6 bowl and good recruiting year and look towards the expansion next year.

10-2 would be a championship for us right now. I'm thinking 9-3 is more realistic.

That said...Nick Saban only has one National Championship where his team went undefeated.

Until 2004, no MLB team had ever rebounded from a 3-0 deficit to win a postseason series.
Just because something’s never been done before, do you really believe that will last until the end of time?
It's even more absurd when you consider that the CFP has only been around since 2014

Honestly from what I saw Sunday night...every game except Grambling is in question

Well you’re a bitch arse pussy.
Go support another team now, if you’re even an LSU fan.

It’s going to happen again this year, to make it nine in a row. Get yourself ready.
fricking pussy
I’m not saying the team is up to that caliber yet but to make that proclamation after game 1 is a bitch move.
Btw Why didn’t you post much during the 2019 run?

Nobody was expecting playoffs. We had to find our entire defense in the portal.

No team starting the season 0-1 has EVER made the CFP.
----------------------------------------------------
Historically that is correct, but going forward with the new 12 team CFP format a 0-1 start will be irrelevant.
