I thought the NFL has already said they can enter the draft next year? Also it doesn't really do them any good either way because they weren't drafted in the first place. So it's likely they wouldn't be drafted either way. But it does seem odd they were named and banned rather than displaying a rule they have violated or something like that. This whole situation is a clown fiasco.

These two kids got some bad advice. They’ll get paid from the lawsuits, which is I guess something. But their football careers are in serious jeopardy to likely over.

The NFL is simply saying they're college players this season, which is the exact argument the players are making.
I also failed to read that the NFL is permanently barring them from the league. They just said they are not eligible for the 2026 season. What's the issue with that?

Sucks for them but not our problem anymore tbh. Hopefully they end up making a team next year.

Pretty sure they can’t re enter the draft next year only sign as a free agent somewhere..and if the NFL wants to make an example..they’ll need all the luck they can get to catch on somewhere.

Why did they just single them out in the memo? Right below their names it says "This list is not inclusive of all 2026 draft eligible players who returned to college." Why not provide a list instead of singling out just two players? Also they were enrolled at LSU, and only one participated in practices. Neither played a snap.

Yep. I mean they are in a shite spot, but in the past 8 weeks or so, they’ve gone from wanting to be pro players, to wanting to be college players, to now wanting to be pro players again.

I edited after I thought about it. Neither were drafted in the first place so technically that probably doesn't help hem any way.

Because they did what they did AFTER they were cut.
If they were decent and honest, they would have immediately walked away from camp when ncaa ruled.

NFL is essentially saying they’re college players for the 2026 season so they can’t be NFL players for the 2026 season.
Go ahead and add a digit or two to that settlement coming from the SEC.

I’m not even accusing Kiffin of being the one to give them advice, but this isn’t necessarily true. Guys get signed to practice squads all the time.

Seems like this strengthens their argument to me. If they aren't allowed to join an NFL team because they're considered college players, the NCAA is wrong. If they aren't allowed to play in college because they're considered pros, the NFL is wrong. Either way someone's getting sued and someone's getting paid (besides the lawyers, who are getting paid regardless)
