Many people don’t want it to be the white kid.

And about as many or more don't want it to be the black kid.

And neither of us has any real evidence to back that up.

I will support Nuss, just like I supported JD5 and any LSU QB1 in the past.
From that thread in the OP and others, tRant usually doesn’t know the difference from critiquing and trashing a player, glad JD5 came on top.

They should pay you to post in here.

Surely, you would agree that CBK has shown some inclination to do that at LSU?

Please share an example of CBK going with anyone other than the best QB.

You mean this if he brings in a dual threat QB or just in general?

Stop saying this. Is he Jayden Daniels? No. But he’s an athletic guy. He’s probably quicker running than Burrow and he was a great runner.

He’s eliminated the sacks because the ball comes out on time.

That was the step he needed to take to be this good.

but also the OL is absolutely playing better.

My guess is CBK brings in another portal guy who's a true dual threat.

I think your guess would be off the mark.

And the results have been incredible but my point in the post wasn’t about either’s improvement, it was about the misconception that you need to be fast to offset sacks or pressure.

There was a thread full of that this season just before the Miss St. game in which multiple people disparaged JD.

This, search Free Nussmeier and there are dozens and dozens of Nuss Fanatics - all very quiet now.

This is such pathetic posting. its quite sad that you are turning success this year for Jayden Daniels, the wide receivers, and the offensive line's performance into hatred against Nussmeier, one of the classiest guys on the roster, and in his own damn right highly fricking talented and has a bright future with the school he loves.

FATBOY TIGER

10 wins in the SEC could possibly get you in the playoffs 2024 and beyond.

that’s fair enough

Drew Brees wasn’t NFL fast but he had great footwork and could move around enough to throw off pass rushers.

Nuss Bus deserves a fair shot at the starting gig. The kid has raw talent and has the Moxie you want in a QB. Plus he's been loyal and while loyalty doesn't trump all, it should count for something. And the kid has enough talent to for it warrant him getting his chance.

I'd be very disappointed if they gave the starting job to a transfer without giving Nuss a real shot at being the starter.

By real shot I mean half a season to work out the kinks. If after 6 games he isn't improving and is throwing to the wrong team too often then make a switch.

All you have to look to is last offseason. If Kelly and the staff did not believe in Nuss they would have let him walk and keep Walker Howard. The fact that they let Walker Howard walk and keep Nuss should speak to their confidence and belief in him.

I down-voted and I'll explain why. I honestly don't think any LSU fan WANTED JD5 to be bad. I think what a lot of fans felt is that he was being too conservative and hesitant with throwing the ball. Many of us thought that Nabers and Thomas wasn't being utilized as much as they should be because JD5 wasn't throwing 50/50 balls. If you watch video of the interview he did coming into this season, he admitted as much. He talked about how Nabers told him he and Thomas are always open, even when it looks as if they aren't. In practice JD5 told Nabers he would start giving him chances and imagine that, JD5 admitted that they started connecting on a lot of passes.

Yes, many fans wanted Nuss over JD5. However, a lot of fans were CORRECT in their assessment of his "issue". JD5 himself admitted as much. So instead of gloating and playing the "I'm right because I know ball" angle, how about some of you guys admit that both sides were correct. Yes, JD5 is better than Nuss but last season it didn't truly matter as much because having the ability and using it are 2 different things. Last year JD5 left a lot of points and plays on the field. This year, he made a conscious decision to improve and throw those same passes he refused to last year and look how it turned out for him and this TEAM. LSU has needed EVERYTHING JD5 has given them this year.
