They lost their deal out here at Angel Stadium a few years back...not sure the new company is much better, though.

TS concession stands are staffed by local fundraising groups. I wonder if this deal with Aramark will change that.

It's all about that $$$ guarantee for LSU. As long as the fans don't revolt, I doubt they care too much about concession quality.

Their cafeteria food is garbage. Aramark can't even properly deliver prison meals.

They had south carolinas cafetaria contract many years ago. The food was horrific, people went elsewhere to eat. School lost a lot of money as a result.

This has Alleva's hands all over it. Looks like another knife in the heart of LSU fans to make their experience less enjoyable.

Titans fire concessionaire Aramark over food, service issues

The Tennessee Titans have fired concessionaire Aramark three years into a 10-year deal over complaints about food quality and long lines.

The company will also make a $1.6 million investment for improvements to the food service facilities and concessions — presumably part of LSU’s plan to renovate bathrooms and concessions in Tiger Stadium.

Seems odd that they already started the work without approval if this is the case.

Aramark is terrible... I've had it at two separate jobs.

The best food in the world is all around Tiger Stadium. Just hire some moms and aunties and boom. Aramark is terrible.

They probably knew they'd get whoever handled concessions to pay for it so they didn't wait.

So will LSU/Aramark still use the area clubs and groups to staff the concession stands. This has been a substantial income to these groups. The arrangement was/is that the group supplies the labor and splits the profit with LSU. LSU supplies all food and supplies (thats why stuff is the same at every booth).
They have to account for every cup, burger, Hot dog, etc and pay LSU for it kinda like wholesale.

My son's former HS Beta Club has had a booth in the SEZ in a prime spot for years. He was co-chairman of the stand his senior yr which meant he handled the money. They grossed about $16 Grand a game and made between $1K and $2K for their part. That is one booth...

I hate this "sub it out" world we live in. It is inexcusable that in the state of Louisiana we cannot feed ourselves. It's not like the food has to meet some kind of low budget. They can charge practically anything they want for the food on game days. Instead we are going to sub out to a company from Philadelphia?? Just pathetic (eta) laziness.
