Yeah I know Arizona went on a run in the conference tourney this week and had a higher RPI. Especially over teams like Arizona State and USC that had winning conference records.

Indiana St should not have been a host, but otherwise Alabama was the weakest. I’m not sure why people were so high on them. They lost 6 weekend series, including Columbia. They were rightfully the lowest seeded of the SEC host teams.

That metric was being #45 in the RPI. They benefited from the high RPI rankings of Grand Canyon and UC-Irvine who they played 4 times midweek. They are definitely an example of the flaws of the RPI.
