My Rocco’s Experience

I’ve been going to Omaha and Rocco’s for 4 years now. Yesterday before our game a bartender grabbed me and said I was serving Jell-O shots to what looked like 8 year olds. I am a bartender and would not serve children alcohol.
A Dad I didn’t know was next to us serving his kids. As I walked by then they said they saw me do it. The owner grabbed me by the neck escorting me out and shoved me out the door saying “don’t let him back in.” The bartender slapped my dads drink out of his hand and said “get the frick out.”
A former employer of mine is friends with the owner of Rocco’s and set up a meeting between us this morning. He was immediately hostile saying he saw me buy a full tray of purple shot and hand them out to kids. I said show me the video because we only bought 8 red shots. He refused and denied grabbing me by the neck. He said to get the cops if we wanted, but we were warned around Omaha that the video would just be “missing.”
Basically told us to go frick our selves that I wouldn’t admit to something I didn’t do. He was yelling in front of his customers and I asked that we do it somewhere private not in front of them.
Support Rocco’s. Don’t support Rocco’s. Do what you want. Just know their owner is a prick and liar. And their bartenders and owner will put their hands on you even if you comply.
Edit: a police report has been filed now.

Sure. As a bartender I know if I retaliate then they can do what they want. He said we could talk outside so I started walking. He then grabbed me by the neck to help “escort” me.
The owner is also about the size of an SEC DL. I couldn’t do much once he had me by the neck.
I gave him a chance to talk to me before posting anything.

And Fricking Todd Graves handed this clown a $30k check, the guy has made $100k off fricking Jello shots, no telling how much off food and other drinks off LSU fans. As a bar owner if you see stuff happening, you can afford security, have somebody escort them away in a normal fashion...without knocking drinks out of people's hands and screaming Get the Frick Out of Here

To me it sounds like you should have just grabbed your drinks and left or minded your own business. If they are willing to put themselves in jeopardy, its not your responsibility.
