My biggest concern is Weis Jr. to the NFL as an OC

Similar to Brady at the end of the 2019-2020 season.

As the playoffs go on, Weis’ play calling has been amazing. Legit concern he could get snatched up by a new NFL coach to join his staff.

So much of this is Chambliss just as so much of Brady was Burrow.

I know. What are we going to do if Weis leaves and we're stuck with Kiffin trying to figure out what to do with the offense. Terrifying.

It’s WAY more to do with Chambliss being hot af, IMO

He made every throw AND avoided sacks at crucial times

When Weiss leaves Kiffin will go get the OC Ole Miss just hired.

I don’t really think the play calling has been special.

The system combined with the weapons and elite QB play make that team hard to defend. Add the elite RB and it’s even harder.

It’s not magic. We saw the same thing here in 2019. There is a tipping point of talent that makes EVERYTHING a viable play call.

The QB play is the most important thing.

The thing you should really be worried about is landing an elite QB and filling the gaping holes that would hamper even an elite QB (aka OL).

That’s where our success lies.

I know Kiffin’s offense is a major variation of it, but the NFL hasn’t really bought into the Briles Power Spread. Most of the QBs that come out of the hard-core Briles offenses have failed in the league due to the adjustment to running a system that puts a lot more on the QB. It’s an offense designed to beat college defenses and it’s really good for that.

As such, I don’t see Weiss getting poached by the NFL. He would have a pretty major adjustment there. He would probably need to go out on his own from Kiffin and add some more to his scheme to get those calls.

As for Brady- he came from the NFL first, so GMs knew he could easily adjust back. And he came out of a system that had a great track record in the league and won a Super Bowl. It’s not as close of a comparison as you are thinking.

Weis isn’t the mastermind of this offense. He’s a good playcaller but let’s not forget that Ole Miss won because Chambliss played like a stone cold killer

Kid is good don’t get me wrong, but 3-4 of those Johnny Football plays back to back was what won OM the game. He’s good, but nobody is that good to pull that off week in week out.

If we can be honest here, there's no one on Ole Miss staff or team that is irreplaceable. If they go turncoat and stay at Ole Miss, they owe us a boatload of money and we'll go out and hire equal or better coaches.

I could see it, his old man was a Super Bowl winning OC. Good chance he makes the jump (not saying right now), he’s young enough to where if he washes out the nfl he can still coach in CFB for a while.

Some of you clowns only give credit to a coach (instead of chambliss) when there is an opportunity to be a negative worried little bitch about it.

He's not that highly thought of at this point in his career, though the last 2 games without lane have definitely helped his reputation

I agree it could happen in the future, but he’s relatively young and has only run a system that’s not NFL-friendly to this point. Or at least the NFL isn’t friendly to it. I just don’t see that kind of a call-up happening this offseason.

He will likely need to not just get away from Lane for more than a couple of games, but also show some scheme development that brings him closer in line with what most NFL teams prefer today before he would be considered.
