Nuss had 294 yards

Burrow had 403 yards in the Peach Bowl. What a dumb thread

If you want to get hyped about a Nuss performance how about you use the very last game he played. Nuss looked great against Wisconsin.

LSU fans need to learn the lessons of our optimism from a backup QB coming into the game in the second half, and leading us to victory or almost leading us there. Brandon Harris against MSU in 2014. Anthony Jennings against Arkansas in 2013. These guys were gonna be the saviors of LSU football, according to our fans, and we all know what happened.

I get where you are trying to go here, but those situations are completely different when it comes to Nuss.

1. you’re wrong
2. You are setting yourself up for a major disappointment with damn near unreal expectations for the kid.

I was going to guess Ensminger against Rice when Carson caught five TDs.

I'd assumed Joey B against Oklahoma. I've never in my life seen a more dominant half of football. We made OK look like a JV team. I've never enjoyed a blowout before but I was just drinking and laughing through an entire half of pure, unadulterated dominance.

Well, I also thoroughly enjoyed AnMs arse stomping and running my mouth all week on the sec rant before the game about how brutal their loss would be after the most rigged game I've ever seen year prior and then watching them get in their feelings about how we told them we'd skull drag their sorry asses. I watched ever play of that blowout enjoying every second. I was right, we sent the house as punishment for 2018. You get what you deserve.

Edit: OP is a jackass.

Nope

Joe Burrow 403 yards vs OU, which is also a CFP semifinal record, BTW.

You were one of those guys who thought Nuss should be the starter in 2023 instead of Jayden Daniels, weren't you?

Nuss threw for 294 yds in that game…

Burreaux threw for 403 vs OU.

You not even in the same zip code dude.

FWIW, I am excited for Nuss this season. Hope for great things!

LSU has played a shite ton of halves of football. Many with heisman winning QBs. Many when they were losing. But the most yards passed for in a single half ever were by nussmeier. It’s impressive.

I hope this is sarcasm... cuz it aint right. Not a knock on Nuss.

There’s also

Rohan Davey relieving Booty in the 2000 Peach Bowl

Matt Mauck coming in for an injured Davey in the 2001 SECCG

Matt Flynn playing for a hurt Russell in the 2005 Peach Bowl

Those turned out ok

It’s also a little disingenuous trying to compare anyone to a QB in a late tenure Les Miles offense

I want him to do as well as the next guy but why make a post with wrong information?

We all know the answer is Joey B. I wish I could watch that game and that season in real time again. We likely won’t see that again quite like that.
