The 2007 season, not just because of the championship, but the whole college football season in general. Every week there was something crazy happening. Even with our losses (especially the Arky loss), it was just a fantastic time to be a fan of the sport.

2003 will always hold a special place for me. I will never forget watching that one with my dad, how emotional he got when we won, and watching that group of players come together when very few gave us a chance.

But as for the most fun it would have to be 2011. Still riding high off the 2009 Saints super bowl win, absolutely dominating every team, beating Alabama the way we did. It ended terribly but we had a blast getting there, and it's going to be a while before we have another season that tops it.

I'm 51 and the 2011 regular season was the most fun over ever had watching sports.

And it's not really close. That was just great fun.

Dang, I thought for sure that 2001 would be getting a lot more love in this thread.

Rolling off 6 straight wins after starting 4-3 (2-3 SEC).

Rohan and Reed's record-setting game vs. Bama.

The re-scheduled games which made LSU/Auburn a de facto SEC West Championship game.

Revenge game upset of #2 UT and ruining their Natty plans with a back-up QB in the SECCG.

Yeah 2001 is my pick. There was less existential pressure then

"That one game" was in 2011, actually.

1983. Freshman year. The smell of grain alcohol wafting generously throughout the student section. Fun times.

Visualise that LSU was 14-0 in the calendar year 2011, and 13 of those 14 games weren't even competitive.

I'll be thinking about that season when I'm old and gray.
