This. Anyone that bothers celebrities when they are on personal time is pathetic and trashy.

He’s gonna be the #1 overall pick and even more famous. It sucks that people don’t respect other people’s privacy but that will always come with being famous.

Good news for Burrow is he’s about to be set for life

Clyde's dad said he spoke to that lady and someone she knew (can't remember who) had a terminal disease and she was hoping Clyde could sign something for her since she was a fan. Something along those lines. I think Clyde's dad said he told Clyde to go to the hospital and visit her. Someone posted the video here a few weeks back.

It's just that it's all come to a crescendo this month. Just think about what has happened in December:

1) LSU wins the SECCG.

2) LSU officially qualifies for the national playoff for the 1st time, and they are the #1 seed to boot.

3) Joe Burrow becomes the first LSU player in 60 years, and 2nd overall, to win the Heisman Trophy.

4) Not only that, but Joe gives one of the all-time greatest acceptance speeches. Two aspects of it in particular stand out; A) Joe talking about the poverty in SE Ohio, which leads to $500,000 being raised in Ohio and $50,000 in Baton Rouge, and B) the incredibly emotional moment when Burrow thanked Coach O.

And obtw, it's still been LESS THAN 2 WEEKS SINCE JOE WON THE HEISMAN.

Joe Mania will eventually die down. It won't ever go to 0%, but it will become more manageable. Not only that, but in a few months Joe will probably move to the city where he will be playing NFL football. As far as we know, Joe might even leave Louisiana in January.

PS - However, if he leads LSU to the national championship the situation will get worse before it gets better.

I never understood the appeal of bothering celebrities for pictures and autographs. I can see kids doing it but grown arse people? Very strange.

I think Louisiana isn’t that bad at it, generally, so hopefully that part will die down soon

I don't know why you're getting downvoted because this is true. Well, at least it is in New Orleans. Throughout the years, many celebrities have mentioned that one of the reasons they love coming to New Orleans is because they don't get harassed by locals like they do in L.A. and New York.

Here are some people show don't have to deal with it:
John Plumlee, Tommy Stevens, Riley Neal, Kai Locksley, me. You get the point. It is part of fame. You don't like it, fine, get a regular job and it will end immediately.
Joe Theismann once said enjoy it all because one day it will all stop.

This reminds me of a story. We stayed at The Cook Hotel and were down having breakfast when CLM came in with a recruit. He sat almost right beside me but I never interrupted. Turns out that recruit was Etling

Saw Tebow in a Nashville hotel lobby awhile back. It was after 10 pm and he was checking in. He noticed me staring and his facial expression said it all....

Please don’t “out” me dude. I just wanna get to my room and go to sleep. LOL

Some of y'all are reacting to Thad's words as if Joe said them. He didn't.

It ain’t hard, people.

Just tell the server that you have the check for that table over there and that he or she is not to tell anyone who paid.

Leave the table alone.

Then Joe gets to look around on his way out wondering how long this will go on.

I agree, but only until season is over. We should leave him alone until then. Then it’s open season.

Well, you just made up a bunch of stuff to argue against. No one argued any of the stuff in bold.

Didn’t watch the clip but I assume what you said is true. I’ll just say a few things. I like the way Burrow keeps his composure and that’s a testament to his parents and family.

He’s famous and he knows it. If he was on campus all semester he would have been exposed to the fanatic girls trying to latch on to his glory. I’m glad he’s stayed off campus and focused completely on football. Those sacrifices will all pay off for him. He might not be used to the fame because it’s all come at once and he never had the fan girl experience. Regardless, I think he’s handling it well.

This is for any person that interrupts Joe or anybody else’s meal time. DO NOT DO IT. Even if I run into a friend at dinner or lunch I just give the customary “hey man good to see you. I’ll catch you after we eat.” That’s for my friends. I wouldn’t do that and you shouldn’t do that to a person you don’t know. I understand if you have a nagging kid wanting and autograph but wait till the man is done eating and about to leave before approaching him.

Yeah, for the guy that's going to make more next year than you and I do in ten. Sure.

People are so selfish and self-centered they have no concept of doing anything wrong. I had a step brother like that, it comes with a low IQ.
