She did this last year also. It was my biggest complaint about her. If she could elevate at all or shoot from a higher release point she would be/have been much more effective - and she was quite effective last year.

Angel is very very good for her position, but she's a forward. Plays extremely hard and fills her stat sheet with rebounds and blocks which is fun to watch.

Yes

Angel plays like Dennis Rodman. Rebounder and should score off rebounds or when defense is out of position.

Morrow is a scorer/ rebounder and an all around player.

It’s truly amazing that Angel was our best player last year and this year she is probably our third best player behind Morrow and Mikaylah.

I don't like to say one is better than the other, but there will be teams where one is more effective than the other.
An example is VA Tech, a very physical team, Morrow is going to be better against those team where Angel might be better against a team with multiple physical bigs.

Last year we struggled against physical teams, but with Morrow, Williams and HVL that won't work this year. Building a team is putting together a puzzle and at this point we are working to get the pieces put together. KM has addressed some of the weaknesses from last year, but it still doesn't mean the team will come together like they did last year.

She actually shoots from the hip. I've been saying that since I saw her first game last year. Alligator Arms! However, if they do not block it she actually makes a bunch of those shoulder hook shots. Someone should tech her to pull up, extend arms, release the ball from way up high. All those coaches look like turtles on the bench, not sure how much they provide x's & o's.

She also cannot jump very high.

Well, I'd say that Morrow has a wider offensive arsenal than Reese. But in the end, they get the same things done. Morrow has played a little better thus far this season, however. But let us not forget, Angel averaged 23 ppg and 15 rpg last season without Morrow. So, she's not being relied as much on as last season. It's going to be interesting to see them together once conference play starts though.

Glad we have both! Both are very good and are different type players. Each makes the other better when they are out there together, you cant double up on both of them!

This year? Yes 100%. Morrow and Williams have been the two best players for LSU this year.

This is a great thing to have.

Only two coaches actively coach from the bench: Kim and Bob Starkey. The other three assistants coach some when players come off the court. Kim has at least 3 adults on her bench who are NOT assistant coaches. And that includes Johnny who always sits in chair number one.

If you can’t see Morrow is way better than Reese then idk what to tell you

Reese has no offensive arsenal and can’t really shoot

She's not "way better". She DOES have a more expandive offensive game, but in the end they're both still averaging around 19 ppg and Reese is STILL averaging the most rebounds. That's what she does..............she plays in the post and rebounds the ball. She's not going to step out and shoot a bunch of midrange jumpers or three pointers, but she's still unstoppable.

Seems silly to criticize an All-American and the MVP of NCAA championship game but . . .
Reese has an amazing ability to be around the ball for rebounds and scores near the goal with great success, albeit with a whole repertoire of very unusual and awkward movements and shots. She has almost no ability to run the floor and instead "waddles" up and down the floor most of the time. She grabs rebounds and often decides to play point and dribble down the floor. Often, that choice leads to a turnover by a steal, or a dribble TO.
Aneesa seems to be settling into the flow of this team and continues to look better each game. She is a savage rebounder and uses her body very well. She is nearly as quick as most guards and can dribble coast to coast. Her shooting range is substantial and very accurate from inside the paint to outside the arc. Plus she shoots free throws well and can "D up" when she needs to.
I think by the end of this year, even if Angel is totally committed to this team and her role, Aneesa will be the MVP of the front court and will be the All-American from LSU.

Funny that the rant is coming around to angel not being the best player on the team, but prior to this you'd get called an idiot and met with downvotes and "she averaged 23 and 15" "final four MVP"

Yep. People talk about how good Marino was but he never won. They need to be talking about Trent Dilfer
