After rewatching the Miss St game, seeing Brennan’s performance. It’s no wonder why Chase felt he could only hurt his draft stock. Key moment in the 4th qt where Marshall got frustrated by MB missing open reads was very telling.

Not saying MB won’t improve or that JC didn’t already have good reason to opt out but I definitely get it even more now

300+ yards?

Is there any chance he could improve it by playing? No.

No it wasn't. Burrow missed reads in his time at LSU, too.

You'd definitely opt out because you obviously lack the chest.

The flip side of the coin is that maybe Myles would have been much better throwing to the best receiver In cfb.. Maybe the offense would have done a lot more also, not that it didn’t do enough to win already which I believe it had. Myles wasn’t great but it was his first start and the offense did enough despite all of that to win. The defense got the L for this one and even that is semi understandable with how thin we were at DB..

Wait, you mean we were missing the best WR in CFB AND the best DB? No no no. Can't be.

No question Joe made his receivers look good. It was a perfect storm last year offensively, players and coaches.

Bad take. Marshall definitely didn't hurt his stock same with Chase if he would have stuck around.

The offense having virtually no sustained possession in the first half kind of set the defense up to fail. As always, it's a team loss.

I guess chase should go to a nfl that only plans on having 1 qb to.

OP is stupid.

Chase made a decision best for him. Its all good. Dude is a beast.

There have been several other wrs who couldn't help their stock, but they didn't quit on their teammates.

Do you think Marshall's 8 catches for 122yds and 2 TDs hurt his stock?

This is dumb. You didn’t see TM’s awesome TD? That would be him out there.

Terrace Marshall, in a performance where his QB was getting his first start and very inconsistent, and where he himself dropped two passes, still had 122 yards and 2 TDs on 6 catches.

It is more than likely Marshall finishes with 1000+ yards and 10+ TDs, which means Chase would have likely gotten that if not more. In a shortened year, that is still enough to be respected as a top 5 overall pick. I mean think about it, Chase was a monster that made DBs look silly.
